That has been such a cool project and it looks great! A fascinating piece of engineering, and a great engine from Wisconsin! I live across the lake in MI but those are still some of my favorite engines.
@@JerryWickok. Just a suggestion, you should probably schedule a test for it every month/week because if it sits there for too long some of the parts might catch dust/rust. Just to check if it works. It would kinda be a bummer if it stopped working right before sirencon. Great meeting you at sirencon by the way!❤
@Yota4Life it's going to be ok. It has leaded fuel in it which is very stable. The battery is out of it. It is underneath a dust cover in a safe, dry area of my modern shop. I found the only thing a guy needs to do is manually prime the fuel pump after storage to get it to pop off right away. It sat on a roof in the elements for 50 years and was able to be ran with a minimum of effort. It is living a pampered life now by comparison.
I totally agree with you that sirens are a unique part of history and part of the landscape in the areas we live! Thanks for saving the Mobil Directo and sharing the videos for us to enjoy!!
God, it would be so cool if somebody made mini models of tornado sirens, that actually worked. That would be so fucking cool. Have an a aca allerator for an alarm clock, holy shit.
