The iron cross is from old Prussia and had been established in bigger scal in the liberation wars from Napoleons occupation back in 1812. BUT a nice cross is not winning any war. ;-) ..and we might be OK, but we are not the best. (my oppinion) .

Yeah, but according to an article from december, Germany is currently, together with lithuania of course, planning to build a German military Base in Lithuania. But i have no idea when that project will be finished

They are free now to make nukes, long range bombers, armada of tanks and maybe only no spinning sunshine signs.... yup, and they are very much stigmatized by their past so they choose not to do any of these things....

Not in the world we live in today. Every country should have the right to defend itself from any foreign aggression like we see in Ukraine. Germany has a proud heritage of Military past albeit maybe for the wrong reasons at certain times but quite welcomed and needed in the NATO alliance.

I'm glad the new German government changed their position and have been sending considerable amounts of amour to Ukraine for weeks now. They have also contacted German armaments groups asking them to send needed equipment directly to Ukraine.

@@MMadesen The Bundeswehr already received 350 Puma tanks, but there are so many problems that they can't be deployed to NATO operations, issues are so severe that 2030 has been given as a target for full combat readyness.... after another 2 billion Euros of costs for updates and repairs... Yes because it would only contribute to an escalation. Germany is trying to solve this conflict in a diplomatic way which is always more intelligent. Although it is unlikely that Putin will invade Ukraine because he has much bigger problems at the moment. So a massive troop deployment is not really productive.

Most Nations in Reality are not Scared of Putin or Russia, its their poor military provocations in the north pole to Alaska. Germany is limited due to the treaty signed but, think a little- Putin will take over the Ukraine from Poltically within followed by a mechanized column. I bet you dont even know that in 1and 1/2 months the russian permafrost will begin to melt, causing where Russia PreStaged to become an all Out Quagmire. So not Everyones scared of Russia, Russia is a Poor Country, they have the fewest naval vessels and bo aircraft carriers because their last burned down under repair in port. Russia simply wants something they cant get, Ukraine from Joining Nato. A coalition is being formed now of military assets from nato European countries and all are now upping from "economy damage and sanctions" to lets send troops from the coalition and "Nato" and see when Putin backs off. Remember 1 and a half months is all he has there before all those pieces of equipment are stuck. You knew that.
