Another great video boys. Nice hunting great start to 2024. As I watched your video from the cruise ship I’m on in Wellington. I reflect how good you guys have it over this side of the ditch. Been to two gun shops while in the south and there all full of great stuff. Had to buy a jumper at Dunedin as it’s a we but cooler over here. Rookie error on my behalf. 🤦♂️ Don’t let the government change what you have over here. Happy safe hunting for 2024 to all.
Happy New Year ‘Rogee’, great start. Awesome and look forward to many more adventures and tips/reviews from you. Safe travels, good health and straight shooting . 😊
Great watch as always. Not sure if you've considered it but your productions are as good, if not better than any television hunting show I can think of. Just sayin . Cheers.
Just nice. Perhaps some more behind the scenes, how you maintain your rifles, keep your knives sharp, maybe some fly fishing along the way? Generally, just keep the videos flowing and the weapons safety checks. Stay safe and best wishes for 2024
Greetings for the season! Awesome opener for the year 👍...I'm curious from a safety perspective...With public land hunting, how do you decide where to go when you know there are already hunters in there before you? If you cannot make positive comms/contact with them, are there established protocols/procedures to follow? Are the blinds permanently located in that particular block - so it then just becomes a matter of visiting one blind at a time as you go in to see if they are taken and move on to the next? Historically, I vaguely remember one incident of a hunter caught in a crossfire but am not sure if it was in public land. Keep em vids coming!
Yeah...safety in the public land is a bit of of a concern. I guess if you cant confirm other hunter locations and you know theyre in there, then you must rely on positive target identification. You snooze you loose when it come to hunting spots, if its occupied then its Plan-B. I had incident a few years back where I informed a group of hunters where a friend was poisitioned and they fired over the top him...so thats on them(dickheads) Cheers brother🤙🏽
Another great vid,as always. Just got back from a hunt myself no luck but great to be out. Any tips for fitness training for hunting and keeping hunt fit would be awesome. I see you do a lot of pack traning ,but what if you are not near any hills? Cheers
Thanks for the comment Mark! As for training, you dont need hills to get pack fit. Pack on and start clocking up some kms! You can use a treadmill on the steep incline setting with a pack on as well
He’s meat hunting not trophy hunting for starters, stags are tainted during the roar when it’s hard antler, and also if he’s like the rest of us who go for meat if we start picking and choosing which animals we take the deer numbers will get too high then the govt will end up poisoning the lot. Rule of thumb you don’t eat antler so might as well take it in it’s prime condition. Some people are only after trophies nothing against them just meat harvesting if it’s a deer it’s getting put down.
Thanks Scotty, the music comes from the RU-vid Audio Library, also if you click on the description for the vid and srcoll to the bottom all the songs and artists are there👍
Nice work boys👌 Wish we could hunt public land in Oz so enjoy what u have before u lose it?? Hey do u ever do pig hunting missions as that’s my most favourite thing to hunt?? Stay safe guys🤙
I mean the camera skills are after all secondary and every good story needs at least one fumble right? ^^ And we know you can shoot by now. What is your favorite dish on Red Deer?
Oh to be in the summer, flooding here in the SW UK, but now going cold...hunting tomorrow....see if we can match what you did, I doubt it, great start to 2024, keep it up👍
