Dude you gotta report this guy, he shouldn't have a license. He may treat the families that live there nice to their faces but behind the scenes hes just scamming them and risking their lives

If they curse at me I'm done. Usually it's over the phone before I send anyone. I screen customers pretty thorough. Some don't like my style and lash out. It's very self weeding. I also have customers that curse but just about their situation. I don't hold that against them.

it's possible, someone went finger banging around and did "factory reset", thinking that would fix it then selected the wrong model.(like the tenant there with you) could have also done the other things trying to correct a weeping relief valve from undersize/bad expansion tank. who knows with places like that, renters always going hacky-whacky hands on.
Where did the guy get his license? Out of some cereal or cracker jacks box? I would have run out of there as quick as I could. I would not want there to be any excuse for someone to name me in a law suit when the thing blows up.

now me being a license plumber in my state and I Install all the boiler's for the company I work for. Job's like this get's under my skin. Landlord is license, which we all know he's not but if he is he should lose his license.
