@@MinnDakOutdoors I let a big 28" walleye go one time and it really made a guy we were fishing with madd and boy was he mad he cussed me out and everything he said "that fish would have fed my hole family in one meal" and I told him the same things those big girls are the biggest egg producers they NEED to go back if you want to keep catching good fish here, he eventually got over it, didn't have much choice it was my fish and I had already released it.🤣🙂👍

Fished there many many times, it used to be a lot better years ago. I remember staying at a motel outside of Belleville, it was the day that the space shuttle broke apart on re-entry, we were just about to leave and drive out to our hut, I went to turn off the TV and it was breaking news, so we watched in shock for a while, got out to the ice around 10am, thought we missed the morning bite, ended up having an excellent day of fishing, no monsters, biggest was probably 4 pounds walleye, caught couple pike too
