Really nice first take. This is actually my favorite fig and bought this over everything else out there. I just love the fig with the sparkling top. Just a happy fragrance.
Loving Acqua Di Parma Mediterraneo Cedro di Taormina a Lemony, peppery. Dry, citrusy, air-y. Settles into a lightly wooded and vetiver chord. Not complex but well done. Refreshing summer scent. Good persistence on the lemon note. luv it
I loooooooooove this fragrance. I got this back in 2008 in Bloomingdales, I think I was 21 for Christmas. My initial thought was this smells nothing like the Colonia, but still interesting. I do smell the fig, but I love the jasmine. I would wear this and listen to Modest Mouse and Lycia god do I miss those days. I also like the original bottle this bottle looks like the Colonia bottle.
I am a bit of an AdP fanboy. I have this and think it smells great (obviously!!!). It is sweet albeit not overly, but as you said well blended. I also wet shave and found that Barrister & Mann have a shaving soap called Figgy Pudding which (while not exactly the same) is a great start to the day with this.
One of the first fragrances I purchased (when I wasn't into fragrances) was Davidoff Good Life. They stopped making it so I looked up the notes and found it was a fig based. I blind bought AdP's Fico de Amalfi to replace it. An epiphany!
I love AdP products but Fico di Amalfi is a miss in my book. AdP fragrances in general don’t perform well when it comes to projection and longevity, please don’t tell me you can smell yourself a couple of hours after spraying on Colonia Assoluta or Essenza, or that you’re getting compliments from other people, the scent is just gone, and Fico is even more fleeting. At least on me it is. Might be the hot weather, probably not my skin as I don’t see this problem with other fragrances, I can still smell The One or Allure on my wrist 24 hours after applying, even in hot weather.
I highly recommend that you try out "the nior 29" by le labo. beautiful smell, fig, tobacoo, hay, and musk. If I know you well I'm sure you would love it. You are the reason I got into fig base fragrances. I love your taste so I'm a head down to my Bloomingdales and pick up a bottle to add to my collection.

I tried noir 29 today. Loved it. Sprayed Fico De amalfi and nior on my arms at the same time. Been 6 hours and I still get slight hints of Noir. Fico is looooooong gone. It was a lot happier than Noir, more summery. Noir has a boss feel to it. Both nice
