Lies . Not true. I live in the u.s and haitians usually stick to their own people here they don't mix and mingle they stay to themselves most if the times . I recall that at the end of the trip, you said it was a long ride, much longer than you thought it would be. Im very curious as to whether that first taxi (the older gentleman)was really a rip-off.

We hit a bit of traffic, but it took about 30 mins to get there. I just didn't know Uber was a good option. Uber is the best option if ever in Jamaica. I used Uber for the remainder of the trip. No problems. All part of the experience. Loved it. Big up Jamaica 🇯🇲

I actually left kingston at the age of 10. Went to live in clarendon. Kingston as tons of mega developments coming in the near future including a smart skyscraper to be built . You must return to visit in the next 2 or 3 years . Did you visit Sabina park or the national stadium

As usual you have to negotiate even if you don't know where you're going but you can see how far away from the airport, you're going on Google Map and negotiate that way. If they are reasonable, they will get more business hope they'll figure that out. Keep standing your ground but be safe and jovial at the same time.

Welcome, my Haitians brothers. Make yourself comfortable, man. Next time, just negotiate the price and go with the flow. He would take you for 5k, which I think is reasonable. The only difference between us is that you were captured by the French devils and we Jamaicans by the English devils. We are all Africans. Our Jamaican brothers Bookman played a significant role in Haiti gaining independence in 1804 by defeating Nepelonian arny. As such, it is the first free black independence country. We are proud of you.

You rght, I do very little research because I find it sometimes it can take away from the first time experience. As far as taxis, it's not so much the money. it's who i feel is more honest and genuine. Because being in a new place, I am also looking to connect with people and possibly make friends. So I go with a gut feeling, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but all part of the experience. 💯🇯🇲

I subscribed to your channel because i have a lot of haitian friends and i love haitian people and their food . And i love how mountainous haiti is. I love haitian rice and griot. Some parts of kingston has some resemblance of haiti i agree but kingston in general cannot remind you of haiti because kingston as areas that are extremely developed with a lot of american fast food restaurants. I want to visit haiti because its so different from Jamaica. And i want to experience the culture but kingston looks nothing like port au prince . I like cap haitien but not port au prince

I want the best for haiti but honestly . Haiti needs a radical change in mentalities and government it as the potential. I just don't like when people say Jamaica reminds them of haiti because that's not true. Every island as its own personality I was born in kingston and I love kingston. So I'm sensitive regarding kingston. Because kingston is an awesome city.

I cannot say for sure, but it sounds like he was overcharging you. I don't blame you, but you should have done your home work, and got some local currency before getting out off the airport. I noted that he quoted the fare in US dollars, not everyone is from the US, that is the first mistake he made.

Cap haitien is a fairly decent city I will say that . But I do not like how port au prince looks. I think haiti needs traffic management. Without that it looks chaotic and alot like some places in Africa or Asia. But like I said I do like cap haitien .
