Malaysia is the only country where luxury is affordable. In NYC you won't even find a hostel for that price

It is not “only country”. Vietnam, Thailand, Portugal, etc. But the best thing about Malaysia is their income is very high but the cost of living is the same as VN, TH, PH, CAM. Amazing!!!!

Malaysia is not just KL. It has huge caves to rival vietnam, beautiful beaches to rival thailand or philippines, mountain so high it is unesco heritage site, marine life so abundant, oldest tropical rainforest, old historical buildings, ancient ruin in bujang valley - oldest in south east asia, biodiversity in nature.

Ahhh, take me there again. Malaysia is super worth visiting. From KL to Putrajaya to Penang to Melaka to Langakwi ti Ipoh to much more. A wonderful mixture of nature, diversity in everything, food, nice people, modernity, good infrastructure, history, and landmarks. I really enjoyed my time there. Would love to visit again and again.

Agreed. Singapore is more developed but also more expensive. Bangkok is interesting but not many speak English and it is mono culture. KL is perfect for not being perfect.

But , muslim in Malaysia is biggest !! I just visit Malaysia in 2 years ago . I think ..chinese and Indian Not a majority races , because ..malays is made up more than half population in Malaysia . You can see at around places in Malaysia . That's why crescent simbols in flag of Malaysia means ..Islam is official religion . I Don't know many about you country 🤭

Yes.. majority are Muslim. When I mentioned multi culture means we have Chinese and Indian all in 1 country. We respect every culture, races and religion.

Dubai is for rich people. Kl : poor or rich can enjoy it. Dubai is a desert, KL : full of trees to give oxygen to humans. Including a virgin jungle in the city area.

Kuala Lumpur means "muddy confluence" in Malay; Kuala is the point where two rivers join or an estuary, and lumpur means "mud

Just a little info, d Petronas twin towers n development of KLCC started in early 1992 n fully completed in 1998. D site was formerly a turf club, a horse race course.

You mentioned the city is surrounded by mountains. FYI: Kuala Lumpur the capital is surrounded by the state of Selangor. Locals when referring to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor together fondly say the Klang Valley as it is a city in a valley (huge valley). The name Klang comes from the main tributary that flows through the 2 areas - the Klang River. Now you know 😉

Great video Danny, and KLCC and Bukit Bintang are the two most vibrant places in KL. Bukit means 'hill', Bintang means 'star', so Bukit Bintang is 'Star Hill'. There's the Star Hill gallery across the road from the Pavilion which was named after the place.

Petronas Twin Towers were the first “world’s tallest building” built outside of the USA. After that, there was a rush for every country in Asia to compete with it. But when the oil-rich Arabs joined the race, other nations simply give up. 😉🤣

I noticed that your video is more about a review of how livable is a particular city rather than the usual tourist experience. May you review KL Sentral (maybe some aspect of one of the modes of public transport in KL as well) and give your honest opinion as a foreigner (rather than a tourist)?

About the humidity. It is best to not fly into Malaysia from a winter climate. You will have a hard time breathing the first few hours. The air will feel really heavy on your lungs.

Indonesia and Malaysia have a language similarity of about 70% Bintang means star in Indonesia and Malaysia. Bintang beer is a beer brand from Indonesia Bukit Bintang = star hills (Malaysia)

Merdeka tower hasn't finished being constructed yet, tho it's in the final stages now, so you can still have photos and videos of the building in its entirety from the outside

Only in 2023. So if you plan to go up, you can plan next year. Bear in mind, tons of people including locals will queue to go up. Maybe need to buy tickets online.
