As an Indonesian who still has Dutch blood, the city of Bandung is the birthplace of my mother, my grandfather (Opa) and my great-grandfather as well... we are the 6th generation born in Indonesia, who spread and lived in Bandung for a long time. Hopefully you can enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the city of Bandung which is also known as 'PARIS VAN JAVA'.. Don't forget to visit the biggest telescope from 'Meneer' Boscha in Lembang, OK..

Bandung is known as Paris Van Java and City of Flowers But now Bandung feels different from the development of the times, which used to be known as cold air, now it is hot like other cities in Indonesia, because there may be a lot of pollution and Global Warning. Try visiting Pangalengan in Bandung where the air is cooler than Lembang, there are also many tea plantations there

Hi susan, warm greetings form Purwakarta. thank you for exploring a lot of beautiful place in Indonesia ❤️🇮🇩 If you still in Bandung right now, i suggest you to visit Taman Langit located at Pengalengan, West Java ( only 1 hour from bandung), you will get a nice panorama view full of green hills from the tea plantation and there is a great camping ground too and nice sunrise in the morning, also nice weather.

Fun fact, Bandung has so many nicknames kota kuliner, kota kreatif, kota fashion etc. If you find so many foods in here, you know the reason. Btw have you tried seblak? Thats an iconic food in Bandung, you probably find one in other province but theyre not authentic. Next time if you visit Bandung again, i recommend you to buy seblak at “Seblak teh Ida” in Braga street. I hope you enjoy visiting our country.

Sudirma Street is literally only one throw of stone away from my house! Good knowing you enjoying Bandung, Susan. If you are planning to visit Bandung again soon you should try to visit the southern part, Ciwidey. Its as cool as Lembang but there are lot of hot springs water there

My wife’s parents grew up there. But my wife was born in the Netherlands. Her parents were born in that city. Pre Indonesia. We’ve always eaten Indonesian food. It’s great. My wife’s first language is Dutch but she knows many Indonesian words.

First time I went to the floating market few years ago, I had sate kelinci which is rabbit satay, tempe mendoan (tempe fritters) and rujak (fruit salad with brown sugar and peanuts) 😋.

14:55 Pork Sate is generally more expensive than Chicken Sate, because pork meat is more expensive in general also. In Jakarta, 1 skewer of Pork Sate is around 18k - 25k IDR, so 60k for 10 is relatively cheaper than most ppl that are selling them here. I'm surprised actually

You went to lembang, unfortunately you did not spend more time there.. You can go to mount Tangkuban Parahu if you want to see a (less) active volcano crater. And then continue to ciater to take a nice bath in natural hot spring there. I really recommend you to go to ciater sometime near dusk, because the air temperature will be a little cold, and the water is hot, which is I think a good combo. Oh and this sunday, if you want a crowded place to come, come to gedung sate in sunday morning. 1 more spot, many foreigners like it i think, its jalan braga. Enjoy your stay in Bandung, I hope you guys like it there, and come back sometime in the future 😊

in the past (Dutch era) Bandung got nickname; Paris Van Java, Surabi (tipical javanese pancake influence by Dutch; Pannekoek) made from rice flour n coconut milk, Ronde Jahe (glutinous flour rice balls fill with roasted peanut) on ginger soup influence by Chinese dessert, the best ronde in Bandung; Alkatiri n Gardu Jati, hope u enjoyed the holiday susan :-)

you try to visit the city of semarang there you can find tourist attractions called breezy tourist villages, saloka park, cimory hills, lawangsewu, and can go to swamp dizzy to see fish farming in the swamp

In Bandung you must go lunch in Boemi Joglo Dago Pakar, in valley, so lovely old house great lunch, over looking part of the beautiful mountain!!

Try to go to PENGALENGAN ,,the tea plantation is awesome there,,and the weather is cooler than the midtown of Bandung,,or try to go to SITU PATENGGANG OR KAWAH PUTIH in ciwidey

You have to visit southern of bandung, like Ciwidey or Pangalengan. The weather is cooler than lembang.

Ohahaha. So entertaining when you ate surabi with oncom (fermented tempe) topping at first time. Actually you should go to geger kalong street if you want to eat (modern) surabi. Why do I called modern surabi is because the topping which is the real surabi is without topping. You can choose the topping whatever you want like salty or sweet. But as my experienced to show surabi to my bule friends, they really love it. So I think you'll love it too😁
