FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF GILGIT BALTISTIAN: Gilgit, Rakaposhi viewpoint, Old Silk Road, Hunza, Attabad Lake, Passu
After taking a 17-hour bus ride, we got picked up by Sajid, our tour guide from Climax Adventure Pakistan. Our final stop for the day was Passu but we stopped at a view places on the way. Check out our reaction of Gilgit Baltistan!

My background is Pakistani but I grew up in Canada. I went to Pakistan once as a kid about 20 years ago so I have very vague memories of it. Truth be told, I never really had any interest in going back to visit as I don't feel a close connection to Pakistan or even my family in Pakistan, who I honestly don't know very well. However, watching your videos has shown me how absolutely stunning Pakistan is. It would be worth a visit to learn more about my roots! Thank you for sharing your vlogs.

Fact Time. In deep past, the Silk road was only network joining three continents (maybe more) It was named because the main trade at that time , was Silk and Gold was money. The Ottoman Empire calculated a destination, a convoy can cover in 8 daytime hours. And at each destination , they built SARAYs. They were places for traders to spend night and proceed next morning. Sher Shah Soori built a road (Grand Trunk Road) start from Kabul enters in Pakistan, crosses whole big India and ends in Bangladesh (Bengal) . These Sra'aes were safe point for passing by traders. Army was also deputed there. Some of them were big enough as a cluster for trade. The most fascinating was Qissa Khwani Bazaar (story teller's bazaar) . This is the point where we Pakistanis came to know about dresses, foods, cultures etc. People use to spend night there and share their traditions with each other. That is why you see 100 types of tea in Pakistan. I'm sure, you guys will not miss this market (still alive with all it's charms) in Peshawar. Love from Lahore

Yep that's true, I'm also just waiting for covid to be over, going to Pakistan by road from UK Insha Allah and traveling to northern Area. Got to see my country before my time is up

Thank you ever so much for sharing. I was at Sarai Silk Route last year with my family. We were there for 3 nights & want to go back again...forever! The owner is the most wonderful, hospitable person I have known. The staff super efficient...it really felt like home...even better. Would go back there again in a heartbeat..you guys had my favourite room! Thank you again for highlighting the beauties of our country, the food, the people & my favourite hotel & owner!
