In this video, I show you what you can do in Seoul, South Korea with or without a layover, with or without money. South Korea is full of adventures.
If you've never transited through ICN, then you might want to consider this as your next in-between for connecting to your final destination. ICN allows foreigners to enter South Korea to visit some iconic places for FREE. Yes, you can join a transit tour to visit different places around the city while you have a 5, 6, or even 14 hour layover like I had. Most of the tours are free (some might cost less than $5 to enter a specific site) and you can do without needing to arrange how to get from here to there and back. Using Seoul's public transportation can be daunting but with a little planning, it becomes easy and less stressful.
If you have a really long layover, like I did, then I suggest you going into the city on your own and wandering around. The three places I visit are amongst some of the most popular in all of Seoul.
I hope this video can help you understand what to do and where to go during your next layover at ICN. Seoul is definitely a place worth visiting, whether its for a few hours, days, or weeks. There is so much to see, do, and eat.
You should really consider visiting Myeongdong, Insa-dong, and ikseondong Hanok Village. They are all very close in location, making for an easy 3 stop travel. Here you can sample plenty of Korean food, visit Korean palaces, take photos of Korean architecture, and do plenty of shopping.
Stay tuned for more South Korea content to come. I'll be revisiting the Seoul and visiting Busan for the first time soon. During my time there I plan to film a few videos showing you the Korean culture, Korean street food, Korean barbecue, korean hotels, cost of visiting Seoul, and more. I'll help you understand where to visit and what to eat during your trip to South Korea.
Enjoy!
This video is only available in 720P because my computer somehow switched the format when exporting. Sorry!
