Update: As of April 1, 2023 to Dec 31, 2024, the K-eta Visa is no longer required for 22 countries for stays of 90 days or less. You may check their website on my description box if your country is included for visa free.
Thanks for the clarification. I will be doing this in Feb 2024. I was told, yours now need to be booked online prior to arriving in Korea can you verify this?
@@rhonafaye1528 yes, you have to go back through immigration, at least that's what i've heard from someone who has recently done it..although the process is swift.
Nice video! As a Korean, it's nice to see travelers doing a transit tour while having a layover in Korea. I also try to go outside when there's enough time while transiting. Hope you had a great time here!
1. Are you allowed to leave the tour group and go back to the airport on your own? We arrive at Incheon at 5am and our flight is 8:40pm. I was thinking we could join one of the morning tours then just go wherever we want for the rest of the day... and then go back to Incheon 4 hours before our flight. 2. How did you re-enter the airport? What did immigration ask you to present? Will your boarding pass be enough?
Thanks for Share this. Didn't know there was such a tour and its free too. Wow, amazing! Will definitely do this if ever transiting there but I hope I will actually get to go there for a holiday.
thanks for sharing .. this is the first time we will do this. but we have 8hr layover only. do u think we can avail the tour? and what will be the documents needed ? thank u!
hi i am K-eta excempt and would like to avail of the free transit tour, do i still fill the 3 forms/card you showed in the video when passing through immigration? Also, if i arrive in Terminal 1 but connecting flight is in Terminal 2, do you advice doing immigration and tour reservation in Terminal 2?
Hello, I was wondering if you'll need visa in order to go with this tour? Cause, normally transit inside the airport in Korea wouldn't require any visa but as you enter Korea, is it different? thanks
i want to go outside the airport to explore the city on my own bc i have a 15 hour layover. when you arrive at the airport, do you go to the "immigration" section or go to the "transfer" section? im a bit confused idk where to go when i get off the plane
Hi Ms. Eunice. Just booked my flight last night with a 13hr layover in ICN Airport. So glad that I saw your vids. Question lang po, I'm a Filipino Citizen and I'm bound to Canada with a valid Student Visa. Need ko pa rin po ba ng korean visa if I want to take this tour or K-ETA na lang po?
Hello Jennifer! thanks for watching my video. Yes, you still need a Korean visa to do this tour. They previously changed the policy post Covid. They now require visa to do this transit tour in Korea. You can apply your visa in the Philippines at least 3 months before the flight. 😊
@@jennifermaebuaron514 I was trying to reply to your msg on Instagram but the message was gone. I believe you have to apply for the regular tourist visa. I don’t think they have a transit visa because anyone can transit to Korea but if you want to go out of the airport, you need to have a valid visa. For non-visa countries passport holder, they only need to apply for K-eta visa at least 72 hrs before the flight. 😊
@@theeunicealvarez sorry, I deleted it kasi I saw you already replied here. Hehe. Thank you so much for accommodating my questions po. I'll try to apply for a korean visa na lang. I'm a KDRAMA fan and iiyak talaga ako pag di ako nakalabas ng airport. Lol. Thank you so much for this informative vlog. More power po
Hi Ms Eunice. Thnk you for your video. What if PH passport holder po peru mag lay over sa korea ng 15hrs going to japan. Can we go out or join the group tour po or need po ng visa? Thanks!
Dito ako now sa incheon airport galing tokyo di daw ako pwd mag join sa tour kc nid pa ng korean visa napanood ko naman video vlog ni kyline alcantara kaya nga sinabi visa free nid daw ng u s en canada visa di malinaw ung info nila kaya eto natulog ako airport nila 23 hours ung layover ko dito kaloka
Hello, I have a 13 hour layover coming up in SK-- two questions -- Are there showers available in the airport currently that you know of? And have you ever thought about take the train from the airport into Seoul? Thank you in advance
I know there are shower rooms around the airport that you can use. With regard to the second question, I have taken a train from the airport to Seoul before when I visited Korea with my family but I’ve not done it during a layover.
Hi! Ceb,Ph- Incheon (13hrs lay over) - YYZ Do we need KETA visa to go and explore south korea while we're transiting? Hope to get an answer po. Thank you 🙂
Hi! I already reserved a transit tour at ICN terminal 2 for my Korea layover. But the tour will end 30 mins before my departure for my next flight. Do you think its risky to join the tour? Is 30 mins enough to catch my flight? Sorry haven’t been to ICN airport before hehe
hey! i’m planning on leaving the airport durning my layover. What did you write as the address on your arrival card? and was it easy getting back in to the airport after you were back!!
Thank you so much. This is very helpful as it's going to be my first time joining the transit tour in South Korea. I had no idea. And thanks for the additional info that K-eta visa is no longer required. I'm a US green card holder.
@@inmengl_1544 yes, you can see one booth before the immigration. But I believe they open at 7am. The main desk is after the immigration- the arrival floor as shown in the video.
Hi, wala kasi akong nakitang PH sa site for K-ETA. May 11hrs layover ako sa Incheon from San Francisco to PH. And I am planning to avail the transit tour. Allowed ba pag PH Passport to apply K-ETA? For transit tour?
Hi! I have a Canadian student visa and my final destination is Canada. I have a 12 hrs layover at ICN airport. I am travelling from India. Can I do the transit tour on my Canadian student visa or do I need to apply for a Korean visa for a 5 hrs tour?
Hello! I believe you would need to get your valid Korean visa to enter Korea even if you have your Canadian student visa. They previously changed their policy post covid regarding transit passengers who want to go out of the airport. You can also check the link on my description box for more information.

Good day po, needed pa po ba ang visa for a layover in Korea? Destination po namin Hanoi. Bale from Manila layover po ng 2hrs sa incheon tapos from incheon to hanoi. Medyo confused po how things work, first time po kasi. Thank you for this insightful video!
@@theeunicealvarez ai need kuba ng visa pala sa kanila kasi final destination ku sa Miami bali mag lay over lang aku ng incheon for 12hours po tas 6:30 ng hapun ang alis ku pa atlanta so Us visa lang po merun aku at schengen
@@seamanieroPH yes po. Before kasi they allow transit passengers to enter korea without visa. Pero post pandemic, nag higpit sila, they now require K-eta visa for non-visa countries or valid Korean visa to enter Korea. You can also check their policy on the link on my description box to make sure.
What about for philippine passport holder? I remember 6 years ago we were allowed to get out of the airport as long as you have a connecting flight to and from US.
This is so helpful! I'm curious about something, is the 1st layover tour ended and you're back on the airport on time? I'm worried because i only have 1 hour and 20 minutes spare from the time the tour ended to my connecting flight departure. Do you think my timeline's doable?
Is the tour sched end time the estimated airport arrival or the time when you head back to the airport? I'm planning to avail the tradition tour which ends at 1pm and my next flight is scheduled at 4pm.. I'm worried I wouldn't have enough time 🙃
Hi po, quick question. If I am a permanent resident of the US and have a green card. What are the requirements? Do I need to have K-ETA or transit visa to join the tour? Thank you!
I am a Pakistani national holder. And I have to go to Japan from Pakistan. And I have to stop on the Incheon Airport for 48 hours on the way. And can I get Korea transit visa for 48 hours. Because I have to see and Seoul city for few hours. Please let me know about it?
You can check the link on my description box to check the countries allowed for K-eta visa. If your country is not there, you may need to apply for a valid visa to enter Korea.
Hi. Thanks for the video! 😊 We are planning to explore Seoul, Korea as well for our layover. Do we really need to apply for a visa/ k eta to visit the City?
@@viralvidz8380 The k-eta visa or a valid Korean visa is to be used to enter Korea. Once you have any of those visas whichever is required for your country of citizenship, then you can enter the country and join the tour.
Hi! I have connecting flight from the Philippines to Hawaii. But we also have a 16-hour long layover at Incheon. Do we still need to apply for a transit visa or K-ETA?
@@theeunicealvarez gotcha! I was browsing through the K-ETA website but I can't seem to find the Philippines... So I don't know what to register. But thank you for responding!
Hmmmm.... But if she has a US visa and coming to or going to US with layover in S. Korea I dont think she still needs a KETA unless rules have been changed now.
@@mariakristinamartin if you’re planning to go outside the airport, you may need to have a valid Korean visa. Pero since you mentioned 1 hr lang ung layover mo in Korea, you don’t need a visa for your layover.

Hi. Thanks for this! planning on visiting Hanoi with a layover in Korea. I just wanna ask, if I have a layover in Incheon do I still need to get a visa to join the transit tour if I'm traveling from the Philippines?
Hi ate! Im going to Philippines and on my way back from Philippines to Canada I have a 14hr layover. Can I still do this tour or I can only do this if I have the longer layover from Canada to Incheon then Manila?
