BSG has said that this is not how you were supposed to access Lightkeeper. The DSPT item was removed from the quest now. Nobody knows how to access him at this point.
Gotta say, taking an emergency radio signalling device and using it to temporarily deactivate a minefield is one of the more clever things about this new addition.
This is actually an amazing way to kind of put safety into 'safe zones'.... I am guessing this will be expanded and tied into reputation, and certain areas will be off limits... I am super looking forward to the future of Tarkov.
@@jonathanreews7923 we aren't seeing the full development of the game. We won't see the main story/ quests until launch. Also the game was sold as an Szone/ stalker style of game, and is still leaning towards that. More mmo based with instanced areas always running. Idk how they will work out maps being cleared of bosses or scavs, but we probably won't find out until release.
@@seth12786 We dont complain about new additions, or where did you read that? We just dont like that we have to wait 4 years for a partial map or features that they announce to be released in 2018.
@@maxgotham195 nothing is ever good enough we get it, they optimize the game for a few updates "bsg abandoned the game it will never be finished" they add dope content for free "the games in a broken state do they even care about the playerbase?"
I imagine him being in a bunker behind some bars like Sidorovich from S.T.A.L.K.E.R., eating chicken while talking about how the rogues in the Reserve bunker piss him off :D
@@ComertCZ Sidorovich from STALKER was my first thought for Prapor being in game as well. He honestly may have even been the influence for Prapor originally.
As a long time Contract Wars player it's wild to see this map updated. Knowing the spawns, and even seeing that bodies can still hang off the rocks like spiderman. Lol. Even on Streets it's cool seeing the buildings you can see from Construction, Bay 5, and Bay 7. I'm assuming those will be the areas that will open up when you get through all 10 maps after completing story mode. [Which we are seeing part of what that will look like on this map] The devs said those extra areas will be in no way inferior. You can search the Contract Wars map and overlay it on the EFT map and see where those areas are I just haven't done it yet.
yessssss i loved seeing the old assets when i went up there, even construction on customs is old assets, there are so many guns from c.w. that they can implement relatively easily into tarkov, im still hoping for the evo3
@@LostMachinima XDDD i literally played it on my grandpas laptop when i was like 10 do you rlly need to hate? also i barelly known any games and played CW on websites
Seeing a safe area and an actual "trader" in game (even if just as a cut scene) has brought my dream of seeing Tarkov become a bigger and better stalker game one step closer to fruition.
WTF Search and rescue transponder hahahah, that's actually pretty smart thing as it could be seen on a radar easily. This device is used by seamen in rescue boats or liferafts in order for other vessels or aircraft around could see on the radar and save people at sea.
Search and rescue transponders don't show up on primary radar. They're used to send out a recurring ping of radio waves, it doesn't show up as a radar contact, you follow the pings to reach the source. It's the radio equivalent of flashing a flashlight on and off for attention.
Dude in chat had a point: two NPC snipers were looking at the lighthouse after Lvndmark was shot when looking out the window with the gun on his hand. Maybe they just detected him without the radio thingie and shot him.
No, as his minions will vehemently point out, everyone else is hacking when Landmark is putting himself into the way of trouble. ITs always a hacker, never him making poor choices.
Well, actually, LVNDMARK started getting shot at from behind when he was still walking with the thing in his hand, even before reaching the lighthouse.
@@bogdanpatru2742 yeah I saw that, but there's no reason to think the first person that shot him is obviously the same as the second a while later. Especially when you see the the NPCs turned toward his position and remember he took his gun out.
@@brunotvrs Yea, there actually is a reason to think it's the same shooter. The guy shoots at him from the mountains in the back before reaching lighthouse. Then, as LVNDMARK peaks through the window, it shoots again. The shots come from the same direction. Also, if it were the guards shooting him, he would've heard the actual shots, despite being suppressed. The guards were too close. Finally, the guards didn't have a line of sight, so they couldn't see LVDNMARK peaking with its gun through the window. In case you wanna say that the guards can see through walls and shoot at you if you pull out your gun whether they see you or not - There are no shots when LVDNMARK peaks tthrough the door with the gun out. The guards don't shoot at him then, do they? All this makes it pretty obvious that it was the guy who was shooting at him on both occasions.
Lightkeeper looks and sounds awesome in game. Love that he as a character at least was worth the wait. Hopefully his quests and trades are just as cool.
"You won't escape from Tarkov" and the whole "Tarkov is part of you" shit gave me flashbacks to the whole idea of the Zone from STALKER where you never really LEAVE the Zone since it will always be a part of you that draws you back to Her apathetic embrace
The more factions and NPCs they add to the game, with Rogues being a faction who willingly stayed in Tarkov and now Lightkeeper insisting that Tarkov is "who we are," the more I believe we will most likely be given a choice at Terminal to stay in Tarkov and that "escaping" it isn't really the point.
was queuing for a raid and pulled up the stream exactly where this video started. was so awesome to see. Raid took forever to load thankfully so my friends and I sat and watched it.
Maybe before I pass away from old age I'll get to see the full release of eft. I still haven't played it. I like to know exactly what I'm buying so I try to stay away from betas and such. Maybe I'll get to see the full game one day by 2082
If you ever want to play it, might be the right time. I guess in a few years, when release will be approaching, everyone will be bored of the game and not playing anymore after having played through 10 repetitive wipes...
To save you the trouble, expect getting 1-shotted most of the raids by people you don't even see, awful desync leading to unexplained deaths, hackers, awful vertical sound, causing people to end up behind you without you hearing them, bullets vanishing into thin air, people unexplainably tanking top-tier bullets with their lvl 4 armors, etc.
@@mcnamwhe681 Probably. Also the fact that Nikita only want people work for him that live in Russia (lol imagine that now..) Veritas wanted to work for him but the pay was 80% less than he would get in his town & he had to fucking live there.
I imagine Map intersection is almost close, I gander its the best way to reintroduce Traders as Live NPC. Like Peace Keeper putting up a quest on opening up routes etc as the game updates.
that is actually super cool seeing the boss up top, i have always wondered how they lock on to players to head/eyes them so quick.. now we know it is basically aimbot lol
The other guy said "The device is whats making you disarm everything" Claymores, most often, are triggered with a physical trip wire or a remote detonator / det-cord. I'm pretty sure that device literally just tells them not to shoot you.
Just for context the device you carry is a SART. I think it's more likely that the Lightkeeper has a radar he uses to locate you and a set of buttons/switches next to him to disarm/arm the bombs as you go.
The conversations were pretty stupid lmao. Keeper: "Why do you want to meet me?" Player: "I thought you have nice stuff to give me..." Player: "I want to escape Tarkov" Keeper: "Tarkov is who you are. yOu cANNot esCape who YOU are." Wtf, is this Rings of Power?
If you could get Lapua rounds, identify all the guards, have a team of 5 and nail all of them in the head in one shot, you COULD get the guards down, but thats insane and doesn't fix the claymores
I didn't know this.. I thought you could just go to lighthouse like we did when it first came out. I went geared up and got sniped the second I went on the bridge
I'm really disappointed that streets of tarkov map runs so badly if I turn down settings also it still runs badly that's the sad part...other maps run at 70-90 fps just fine on my 3060 Laptop at 1080p..makes me appreciate squad lol
i think bsg adding lightkeeper now is foreshadowing of the future, the lightkeeper said that something big was going to happen to tarkov either an massive event or a perma map changes
The boss and guards are 100% spawn rate, the rogues are 100%, and the loot is really good on the map. Hope people all play streets so I can just play this lmao
Rogues are always 100%. LH loot always have been very good despite the nerfs. People are actually enjoying new content, you'll get it when you will be on your fifth wipe.
you can get to this point yourself. no need for a squad. if you can’t get there yourself, what you’re basically saying is that you need a squad to carry you. you can’t win 1v1s or 1v2s.
I think my biggest question atm is why he has a map of shoreline? maybe he could give you a quest that has to do with it or maybe something to do with the port? i dont know but it seems weird he has a map of only shoreline not even lighthouse, and yes you can see he has other maps around but none as prominent and in your face as the shoreline one
@@hashen_chamal could def be both those, I feel like there’s a way to get a quest from Him. If they added all this stuff to get him, there’s no way there’s just no quests or anything from him
Its almost certainly because shoreline is the entrance to terminal, the giant gate near the train cars is literally the terminal gate and in the raid series this place gets invaded by a massive amount of scavs and also dudes all dressed in black
