The song is fabulous, Nemo is amazing, if they will be able to perform it well live and if staging will be good, then I think it has a chance to reach many. Not sure how high it can go, but I will be keeping my fingers crossed.
@@ninaschofield I've just seen a live performance on Nemo's channel (Live at SRF MusicStar - The Revival Show 2024), holy wowsers, they're amazing. There's another live video from pre-party and, again, they are great. Now I can't wait to see the proper performance on a big stage.
Loved this. Just to answer quickly on staging - Their staging director will be the same as Kaarija's for last year. So that's exciting (hopefully no wires to run into). Nemo performing this live is incredible! The performance gave me clear winner vibes live at the Madrid pre-party. It stood out like a beautifully layered thumb for me personally. And congrats on the accreditation. I'll be on site, but it's so exciting this year to be doing content coverage. If you can interview Nemo, highly recommend. Nemo is just the sweetest, and most fun person to be around. Really good energy - yea...jumped into my number 1 slot after Madrid, but was always in my top 5. It's going to take a lot to shift it out of there now.

Very much appreciate hearing your opinion and it really goes with why the Juries (rightfully) loved this piece so much. Im not sure, but i figured it had double meaning. It can both seem as a refrence to the matrix films, breaking out of you’re «programming» and also him being non binary. Breaking norms.
Absolutely. That’s what this song is about. Nemo is non binary and quite literally between the 0s and 1s 😄 you can always interpret and adapt the meaning of a song to yourself though, and I think this song gives a lot of opportunity for that. Beautiful song.
This is in my view the most creative and eclectic ESC entry EVER! It was love at the very first listening (same with Angelina - these are my 2 winners this year). I didn't noticed those strings - the mirror/ticket - probably are meant to stay undetected in the background and indeed I felt the eeriness with it. Despite the changes and contrasts in styles and genres Nemo has managed to keep it convincingly together in only 3 minutes - genius.
I wish you would have been my music teacher. (not because of your appearance, I‘m gay, but you‘re gorgeous.) but because you are really good in musics and you made really made me want to learn piano. 😅
I was really intrigued when I first heard the studio track, primarily because I was really impressed with what was being conveyed vocally, and I was hopeful that a lot of that would transpose into the live performance, but regrettably a lot of the really impressive quirks are lost in a live setting which is a shame. The composition itself is really clever, and it's by no means an easy vocal to deliver, but there's a few pitch issues in the 5th octave and one of the things I think Nemo needs to be mindful of is that when there's a delayed reverb on the mic feed, and when a tremolo sneaks in on the melisma, because of the delayed effect it can start sounding very goat-like quite quickly, so they need to try to maintain a lot more straight tone in parts. I was also really hoping to hear them move all the way through the passaggio into the head voice as they do in the studio version, but on the live performance they are breaking on that bridge with some poorly placed breaths which I think takes away from the vocal fluidity, and when rushing to get back into it they are sometimes coming in too sharp because too much breath is being being used at the onset (most probably because it's being rushed). The one part of the composition I was most eager to hear though were those fast transitions back and forth between the modal rap and the head voice, mainly because there's barely a vocal rest in any of it, and if that was done live I would have been hugely impressed at the vocal control. Unfortunately it's not replicated the same in a live setting, so I was a little bit gutted not to hear it in the same way personally. The other thing I was really curious to hear is how strong the resonance was in the head voice and falsetto, because that's impossible to gauge through a studio track because of layering, compression and dB normalisation. Because they were going right up to a soprano C quite early, I was expecting them to have a really well developed and strong resonance, but it's actually quite weak and soft. I still think the song is going to score quite well in the competition, but from a technical perspective for me personally the studio track over promises while the live performances underwhelm; and that's not to say that Nemo is not a good singer by any means, but a lot of the razzle dazzle that caught my interest isn't present as a live vocal, and for me personally I think the entry falls victim to the trap of the higher your are, the harder you fall.

Nemo is non binary. This song represents the way they went trough, to find them self. he broke the code because he is between the 0s and 1s. All of the diffrenet outfits and elements are a part of them.

It's nothing less than him thinking he's the Son of God. Thinks he's the fourth person in the Holy Trinity. This is theological blasphemy and the Church should condemn such a text. Switzerland is a Christian country, more than 6 million religious believers. They should think about who has the right to represent the country in such a big international contest.
