Grow Up is such an important song for SKZ and Stay. They perform this a lot in fan meets and concerts. There was an in studio recording of it during the lockdown, so it was just them. SKZ was surprised when in the middle of the performance, the music kinda cut out, and then you started hearing and seeing a bunch of messages from STAY to SKZ. It was such a scary time for so many, and SKZ was worried about their future. Most of them started tearing up. It was so touching and makes me cry everytime 🥹 Another very memorable moment with this song, for me, was during last years fanmeets. There's video of Channie sitting on the edge of the stage and STAYS are sing this song and pointing at him while singing the "you're doing well" part. He put his head down and started crying a bit. You could see it really hit him. Last year, especially from April to like July, was a very rough time for all of SKZ. Lots of not great things happened in such a short period of time, so you could see that them hearing STAY singing this to them was much needed. ❤
I'm a baby stay and reading this made me cry so much, I'm looking forward to going to one of their shows and singing along to "you're doing well" part.
Finally getting to 3rd eye and Mixtape #1 ( Mixtape #1 is one of my top top favourites ❤ ) hope you loved this album and can't wait to see u checking next albums 😂❤
I found the mixtapes really confusing when I first became a stay, so I'll comment this incase it might help u too. If I don't make sense please tell me 😅 Mixtapes 1 to 5 all have remakes in the skz 2021 album. Mixtape 1's remake is 'Placebo' as you know. Mixtape 2's is 'Behind the light', Mixtape 3's is 'For you', Mixtape 4's is 'Broken compass' and Mixtape 5's is 'Hoodie season'. The part that confused me is that all the mixtapes are actually rearranged versions of original 3racha songs from their pre-debut soundcloud! The original 3racha songs have the same names as the 2021 versions of the mixtapes, so are called Placebo, Behind the Light etc. (though I have also seen the 3racha Behind the Light called 'If there's a shadow, there must be light'). I'd recommend checking out lyric videos for those too if you want - comparing the changes from the 3racha versions to the ot8 versions is rly interesting, and both the sound and meaning of the songs changes a lot between the two. It reflects both 3racha's musical growth and their changing outlook on life in a rly interesting way! Doing the mixtapes in a separate video might make sense if you want to compare both versions. Also mixtape 2 and 3 have an MV, and mixtape 4 has a street version (which is super fun of course) so check those out! They have lyrics thankfully. Aside from those, the other mixtapes ('On track' and 'Oh')are part of a different storyline which I probably shouldn't go into now since this has gotten long enough, but they all come from later albums anyway. Sorry if this was a lot! Hope it makes sense and helps a bit :)

I don't like being corny at all, but I remember when i first found SKZ, I was going through a very dark patch, found them and decided to listen to more of their stuff because listening to Maniac and God's menu made me feel powerful and hyped, then I went to their all songs playlist on spotify and just hit play on shuffle to see what they're b-sides were all about and to just drown myself in their music, the first song that came up was Grow Up and I sobbed... ugly cried for the entirety of it, even though I didn't know most of what they were saying I got the chorus instantly and just felt validated and supported, then I listened to M.IA. and insomnia and all those great b-sides where they talk about their struggles and how we just gotta keep on going and it just made it apparent that I will forever be hooked onto their music, they have made me happy when nothing else seemed to bring me joy anymore and I will be forever grateful to them for it. Now I'm in a much better place and connecting with people who also enjoy SKZ and it makes me emotional to think all of this happened because of that song and because of them.
I'm so happy for you because you overcame what you were going through with the help of stray kids...I believe almost every stay have a story abt how they discovered them... as they say Stray kids find you when you need them the most

Expect the 2 trilogy albums ( i am : not/who/you and cle: miroh/yellow wood/levanter) to be VERY experimental. It’s the time that skz were looking for their own sound/color so there’s a lot of queationing and exploring. Glad you’re checking the albums from the start!! Imo in this way you’ll notice how they have found/ established their “sound” starting from go live album.
For the I am WHO album, all of those songs have videos besides the intro song I believe. So you should react to those instead of the 2020/2021 versions 🩷 and voices has a performance video. Idk if you wanna watch that or do the lyrics video in case you want to react to their dance practices ever 😅
In 3rd eye, they found a way to view things beyond them, to have a different pov of life, but even though that true will enlight them, they are still scared, is a battle with themselves of what to do.
