If one wishes to support the channel monetarily, but would rather not join the Patreon, here is a way to do so. RU-vid and Patreon both take percentages of earnings from videos (in RU-vid's case, I'll make around 5-10% of what any given video makes, the rest goes to supporting the Label who owns the copywrite and to supporting the platform, so this is a helpful way to help me keep on making videos. I appreciate it:)

Without You is probably his most famous song. Shows his singing ability. Jump into the Fire was a jam. Harry was working in studio right under the noses of music industry as a songwriter. They eventually heard his singing abilities and hit pay dirt.

Daniel, Harry Nilsson was one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the 1970's, but unlike contemporaries like Harry Chapin and Jim Croce, he enjoyed major commercial success without performing in major concerts or touring. Ironically his two biggest hits were Everybody's Talking written by Fred Neil and featured in the film Midnight Cowboy, that was No. 6 in the US in 1966 and Without You written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of Badfinger that was the No. 4 single in 1972. His song One was recorded by Three Dog Night and went to No. 5 in 1969. His song Best Friend was the theme for the ABC tv series The Courtship of Eddie's Father starring Bill Bixby from 1969-72. Besides Jump Into The Fire and Without You from Nilsson Schmilsson(1971) his song Coconut was also a hit as was a earlier song Me And My Arrow. Nilsson became a drinking buddy of John Lennon during his separation from Yoko Ono in 1973 in California. After Lennon's murder in 1980, he became a gun control advocate. Nilsson owned the flat in London where Cass Elliot(Mama Cass of the Mamas and the Papas) died in 1974 and Keith Moon(drummer of the Who) died in 1978. Harry Nilson died of a heart attack at the age of 52 in 1994.

"Everybody's talking" (#6) from the movie Midnight Cowboy (Dustin Hoffman's 4th movie and Jon Voigt's 3rd movie - won the Best Picture Oscar and both Hoffman and Voigt were nominated for Oscars for Best Actor) and "Without You" (#1) were his two top hits. "Coconut" was a bit of a silly song that somehow made #8

Literal fire! Phenomenal bass, guitar drums and vocals, one the great classics. And you need to check out Without You, Nilsson's smash hit, and also Coconut.

That bass line! Herbie Flowers, who also played bass on Take A Walk on the Wild Side by Lou Reed. Man I wish I could play like him!

A great, rather deep Nilsson track you'd probably love is Gotta Get Up. But Everybody's Talking and Without You are musts.

He did a movie with Ringo Starr, "Son of Dracula" - If you can find the original vinyl soundtrack album, it's worth a couple of $$$. Check out the song, "Daybreak" - perfect for vampires.

Harry Nilsson! Two words for you, Daniel: "The Point." It's a story made of a collection of (trippy) songs linked by narration. Either the album or the animated movie made from it (narrated by Ringo Starr) are a real treat.

He WAS Lennon’s drinking buddy during John Lennon’s “lost Weekend”....2 years long.

Great to see/hear your reaction to Harry Nilsson. He has so many great songs and you'll find that his vocal range is far broader than you hear on this song.

Loved Harry Nilsson. He was a very prolific songwriter. Died at the age of 55. His biggest hit that he sang himself was Can't Live Without You, which was so overplayed that people began to mock it. The first time you hear it, it hits you in the feels hard. He wrote a lot of hits for other artists. His animated movie "The Point" was a big hit and became part of the youth culture. His song "Everybody's Talkin" was used in the movie "Midnight Cowboy"'
