Got my first load of fill to go into my driveway. Super excited! They delivered dirt with large rocks mixed in to build up the area. Looking forward to seeing more go in. #driveway
That old dump truck is cool as hell. Love those old flat fenders. I don't envy that guy driving a five axle truck with barely any lift out of the drops though. Hope you have a way to push that dirt! Cheers and best of luck.
I'm not sure. The driveway is 1/4 mile long, but the gravel isn't that thick all the way. Actually, the job isn't done yet. I will update when I have more info.
I hear what you are saying. I have posted a short in response to this. The United States Forest Service uses trees to fill in under the dirt. The very small trees that were put down in the driveway were done deliberately. They will not rot because they will not be exposed to air. Even if they did, they are so small that they won't make much difference. Most are only about 4 to 6 inches diameter. And this driveway will not be getting paved. It is a quarter mile long dirt road into an off-grid cabin.
