The focal components are either $2300 or $4000 a set based on running either K2 elites or Utopias. He doesn't mention which voice amps are used but I'm pretty sure it's either JL HD600/4 or a Focal unit. Plus wiring, sound deadening, and installation. It's crazy expensive but easily achievable.
I don't understand why people assume that JL guarantees sound quality. You still have to install it right. I've installed w7s sealed and ported when they weren't overpriced. JL sounds good, but most people are overhyping them. They don't even last on the full rms unclipped.
ppl saying its not worth 35k not knowing focal uses VERY similar if not the same drivers in their $30,000 home speakers as their component sets. and those same ppl probably never heard a beryllium tweeter or midrange in their lives!!! first set of home speakers i ever bought with beryllium drivers was literally life changing, like everything i ever bought in my life prior was a complete waste of money!
I’m going a quad 12” build on 5k watts for $2000… won’t sound as good I’m sure but will be worth the price difference. I can’t lie I love those jlw7 subs though.
Got 2 10 w6 JL subs and rear i got the same focal coaxials and in the front got the focal k2 elite components. The subs running off the 1500 rd and the door speakers off a jl 6 channel amp so this guy has taste forsure 🔥 but Focal and Jl audio for the win!!
For 35k id want utopias in there, not K2s or even K2Ms. And yes i know theyre not nearly as agressive but theyre much more articulate. Or Audiofrog GB if you want it agressive articulate and bass heavy. What processor are you using, aero 8/12? And what are your thoughts on going Audiofrog GB12s instead of the W7s? Or K2 12s?

JL is nice but i feel like its overpriced and your just paying for the name. Im sure for what those subs cost you could find something just as good or better for less.
Yeah I have and not every thing they put out is expensive they have affordable stuff as well, buts that's not what my point was. My point was I don't think JL is worth what they cost and they are just overcharging for the name brand.

Don't quote your man hours as part of the cost if youre building it yourself. You listed maybe $15K worth of stuff, ill even be generous and say $20 because you didn't mention mids and highs amps. Where's the other half?
@@TheASU011 nah bruh. I had a 1500 skar amp and I never pushed it hard. I push my Jl Audio amps the same way without any issues. You get what you pay for. I can afford an 800 dollar jl audio amp… most can’t
5000 is justifiable for an automobile audio system because past that your wasting money u begin losing functionality of your full cabin for a system u can't sit next to turned up to the max so unless it's a competition don't waste your money subs and amps are a dime a dozen never add to the frequency on your receivers equalizer tune the amps frequency to the sub so it stays on the lower side and it won't sound like crap remove or secure any loose objects that vibrate and cause unwanted noise
Ur ripping people off I got 6jl audio 12s would be around 4000 with what u said u gotta help people get 1 amp to 2 of the subs to each pretty much the same same thing saves about 5000 just with that all u gotta do is a lil more work on the box😢
that’s the biggest L i’ve ever seen. gonna get shut down by some teenager with a single 18 skar and basic door speaker upgrades. 35k can get you 160+ db bass and vocals that will break your eardrums from 10 feet away.. and probably still have $ left over… go back to the drawing board, poor customer
Still not worth what he say he running jl is not worth it unless they dvc an still 35,000 still high ungome pay that much myght as well have the best an bigger speakers u need 18s then 35 thousane man u need 6 18s 4 amps 3 alternaters an all for that much money
