Literally don’t understand how shit like this can get turned down… and shows like Superman and Lois can get canceled…. Yet movies like birds of prey and the first suicide squad get released…
While it would be tricky for a Live Action Batman Beyond for a lot of Reasons, a Animated Movie is a Spider-Verse Style would be Brilliant that I’m hoping this gets Made Soon, Hope and Pray with Fingers Crossed.
Think something with the animation style close to the Spider Verse movies, or something inspired by that, would be really awesome to see done with Batman Beyond, think with an animated movie you could explore Batman Beyond in a different new perspective with fresh animation style. I would like to see in live action, though not sure , if Warner Brothers would ever do that.
It isnt inspired by across the spiderverse art, it was going to be made by the people who made the spiderverse films. Thats why its identical, because they probably used the same animation software to make the concept art. @Jeff-nb4cu
Think it would be interesting I think, if they added a brand new villain if they ever did make an animated Batman Beyond movie, instead of using a villain from the Batman Beyond tv show, or comic books.,
Now is the WORST time to do Batman Beyond. Terry will be a non-binary(whatever that means), bisexual black women that blames Bruce Wayne for being a "rich white man" and, therefore, all the problems in Terry's life
I think he will definitely greenlight it, it's jus a matter of when. Remember, he had Into the Spiderverse as his favorite comic book movie of all time.
This concept art looks amazing but of course Warner Brothers said no. Fans have been waiting/wanting another Batman beyond movie since the short where Bruce and terry fight the clones! It’s time for terry McGinnis to have another movie
@@SuperbitGamer-db6iwto be fair. Shouldnt they ask james gunn about it since he will likely make it part of the elseworlds as he stated before, that there will be more elseworlds projects
This on top of the news that we would be getting a live action Batman Beyond with a Michael Keaton Old Bruce Wayne, BB fans can’t really have any major project unless it’s a minor thing like a mobile game skin or something small lmao.
I don’t think WB outright rejected it yet. According to the artist, WB executives were *initially* against it, saying something along the lines of “there’s no way they’re gonna make a Batman Beyond movie” (for whatever godddamn stupid-ass reason)… but by the end of their pitch, the WB executives were supposedly more curious and maybe sorta kinda potentially interested in moving forward with the idea… I believe they posted these images as a way to market it, building hype, and showing WB that there is a massive market for a Batman Beyond film. Who knows if it’ll ever happen, knowing the ridiculous current ceo who absolutely hates making money, and giving fans what they want.
@@trashboat5388 I’ll take (almost) anything Batman Beyond at this point. Video game, live action movie, animated movie, sequel series… at least we got a bit more Batman Beyond in Batman Beyond The White Knight…
It’s like WB are allergic on making money. Can’t believe we are still gout to continue waiting for a live action or another animated movie to Batman Beyond. WB really suck!….
Justice League, Flash, the Suicide Squad. FLOPS. That’s why. If you look at DC track record I’m not sure WB would even be confident in making this. Especially after their tax write offs.
@@jp_jdn still flopped. And that was a good movie. Although I put the blame of it being released on HBO MAX the same day as in the theaters is what caused it to flop. Cause I know i watched that mf at home.
@@mannyblunts8675 That’s probably the biggest reason. In regards to the other movies however, I think it’s important to consider that many of those films had external factors that affected them. Most of it being the confusing way they’re handling the reboot of the DCU, and in cases like the flash with its main costar being in…. Let’s just say Controversy. The reason I think they should make a BM beyond movie is because A. A lot of people want it, and B. Batman, unlike the other movies? Is proven to be a hit, judging by “The Batman” being such a hit.
@@evanrutledge-sz4yo I’m sure if the movie got made it would’ve been a critical success. It’s the box office where DC usually falls short, if live action batman ain’t in it it probably won’t make money. Even if it is animated form. DC track record isn’t that bad but it underperforms expectations. (Blue Beetle, Flash, Birds of Prey aka Flop, Green Lantern, Black Adam, League of Super Pets, etc ) I’m sure now with James Gunn they have more faith the movies will be better. But cmon you know all they care more about money. Which is why the dropped the whole DCU for a reboot. Did you know in 2022 around middle of the year WB only had enough money to market 2 movies for the rest of the year. (Black Adam & Don’t Worry Darling) the tax write off for 3 movies and probably more, hell one of them had a live action Batman in it (Batgirl) should just show you what they really care about. WB needs to just give up DC rights and give them another company. Paramount would be dope.
A visdev artist in the industry here! The reason why the concept art for this looks identical or inspired by Spiderverse is because Yuhki (the artist behind these concepts) is the production designer, and one of the reasons the film looks the way it does. He's an amazing artist. Love your work Chris!!
An animated batman beyond movie would make so much money I swear, movie companies just hate making money I swear, plus the villains in batman beyond just LEND themselves to an animated film, I love blight
I think Batman Beyond would be the perfect refresher to the Warner bros dc content. We've had so many Batman (Bruce wayne) and Superman and Justice League and even in the animated universe. It just feels like this would be a breath of fresh air.
The issue with Batman Beyond Is that it creates an ending It tells us Bruce Wayne ends miserable and upset, Then suddenly all the scenes with Bruce caring for Dick Grayson, or Barbara and Dick together, Bruce and Selina together. It basically tells the audience, Hey None of that matters Why care for future projects if it all ends with Bruce alone so why care? Hence why it’s an else-world But yeh
You don't necessarily have to have Bruce be detached from everyone. Bruce was 80 in Beyond, meaning that Dick Barbara and Tim are too old to be heroes since it'll have been 40-50 years since they dawned their capes. Though that may be much harder for WB to pull off narratively.
@@EphemeralCreature0 yeah, you’re not wrong I’m just saying in general For instance, why do we watch Dick and Barbara getting closer and dating, just to find out out they never spoke again Same with Bruce, all the hints of him with various characters, just to end up alone, it’s unsatisfying
seeing as the art director for both spiderverse movies was in on pitching this movie, you can tell this would to have had either greater or equal success to spiderverse
Joaquim Dos Santos, one of the other directors on Across the Spider-Verse, used to work in DC animation. He directed a lot of episodes of the Justice League animated show. He was known for doing action scenes and had the nickname "Mr. Fight." He also directed several episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra.
I think this would've been amazing and a massive step up for DC. But if they make a Batman Beyond film, they’d probably have to make a Batman animated film as well.
I think a good way to have Terry in the same universe as Damian is have Damian give up being Robin and take over as the new leader of the league of assassins, reforming the league and using it to help people instead of hurt. Terry can then come in and take up the mantle and there you go
3:50 almost like they are both from the future or something.. I agree with you on the rest. i'd go to the theaters multiple times just to make sure this did well.
In the more recent Batman comics I believe the rebirth era The batfamily still do exist along with Terry in one of the comics we learn Damian used a prototype Batman beyond suit but then left Bruce to take lead of the league of assassin cause Ras al ghul died and he kept the league in check while Terry was Batman with his little brother max as the new Robin Comicstorian did a video about it
Since Batman Beyond's debut, the only time we get to see Terry noe is either in crossovers or multiverse stories. It'd be nice to see him in his own stand-alone movie again.
i think they showed the previous bat family in the batman beyond. but the villains were just some sort of reimagination of the OG villains so yeah, it might work as an alternate universe rather than a DCU canon.
I'd love a high budget animated Batman Beyond movie in the style of Spiderverse, and also I honestly hope that the next standalone Batman franchise after Robert Pattinson's Batman will be live action Batman Beyond
They been trying to make a Batman Beyond movie for a long time , hell I remember hearing and reading that the Remember The Titans Director Boaz Yakin was gonna direct a live action Batman Beyond movie like around 2000 or 2001 but I think either he turned the duty down to direct or WB outright cancelled the movie but yeah they've been trying to make a Batman Beyond movie for decades now
If they do make this movie it might become my favorite animated movie just by the art style but with literally what I watched when I was a kid love spider verse but I want to to do so good
Well they clearly used Spider-Verse style for the pitch to try and convince them that the movie could be successful like Spider-Verse. Also movies are starting tog to do the weird stop-motion 2D/3D animation blend that every seems to love but I think is wearing out its welcome. I still like it but damn. As for Batman Beyond, I remember Nightwing still existing. Batman Beyond was part of the DCAU with the Batman animated series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited and Stack Shock who also went to the future and met Batman old Bruce and the new Batman, and likewise in Justice League Unlimited they went to the future and the new Batman and an older Static Shock make cameos. (You even showed the image of Batman meeting his older self)
I want a serious live action Blade Runner-esque _Batman Beyond_ movie either directed by Nolan or Dennis Villeneuve. That would be awesome. Serious in the tone and vein of TDK trilogy but with all the 2049 visuals.
lets pray that this happens i would love to see how terry has been since we last saw him in epilogue note that the batman beyond comics and just any comic that takes place in the dcau arent particularly canon unless its a tie in to the movie
I just start watching batman beyond and i love it and started making batman beyond 3d model in a style of spider verse hearing this got me excited i just hope they will green lit this film
this could've been the Into the Spiderverse of DC ;-; also I can see this being set in the far future for the DCU with the main Batman actor playing an old Bruce Wayne with Viola Davis appearing as an old Amanda Waller as well, with him falling out with Damien Wayne in the future
The fact that Spiderverse took Spiderman 2099, a character i kinda liked, and made him badass is all the proof ai need that they would nail the tone and visuals of Batman Beyond.
It's looking like Into the spiderverse style but gotta see the animation, maybe they can add a more muted pallet to make it different a make it more subtle and sleek
The Batman Beyond movie was floating around while they were pondering Batman Eternal and Superman Flyby(Lives). By the time they decided to try it, the original director, screenwriter, and couple of actors that were up for Old Bruce(Robert Redford, Michael Keaton, and one other veteran actor), and Terry (Keanu Reeves was targeted) had moved on. So they went with other script that was pitched around the same time... Batman Begins.
You may be right this would work better as elseworld story. Problem is this have potential to be really great (mostly based on few screens) and if they introduced it pretty soon before new DCU universe have time to draw ppl in, it might pull ppl out of that universe or just confuse casual fans with Bruce-s story. So IF they ever green lit this, it would need to be at least few years later when (and if) DCU would be allready well established.
