Nice vid Scott. Nice option for hubs as long as do not lose too much torque for hills with those 105’s. Assuming that is not an issue as many of those boards now using a12S battery
Had my thousand stealth black for a month or so. Love it. Was considering getting one for more than 6 months, so now that they are easier to get in AUS, I couldn't let the opportunity pass...

to line up these kinds of hubs, just put one of the bolts the other way through the motor to the wheel and drop the sleeve down and just put in the other bolts and then the final one that was put in the other way
I would be worried about wheel bite on the X1pro but a comfort-game-changer for the hub world! Ps. you appear to be Mr 'Exclusive' of late. Will hit notifications bell 👍
I am not into hub motors but that's really a great idea. It might change my mind about it actually. I hope other brands than Cloudwheel will do the same.
I did such a dummy play and ordered the 4x discovery pulley kit for my Exway Wave Hub version....now I have to buy 2x Donuts seperately and wait another week or so before I get the complete set..

I was about to order the Exway wave with the 105mm cloud wheels because I love the portability of the battery and the lights they come with but when I added it all up it was over a grand and the shipping was $85 so I just sucked it up and ordered the cloud wheels for my wowgo3 that's been faithful to me for the past 2 years.
If I were to 3d print some wheels out of flexible nylon and polycarbonate for the hard parts and made them like some kind of big AT wheels, would you ride them?

I will on more videos but to be honest these aren’t made for off road these are to smooth out your street bumps etc they will still work on hard dirt and super short grass but anything else would be slow and hard on the motors
@@scottdaviesyoutube I dont expect full off road, but just some gravelled/dirt bike paths and like you say, some grass etc. That would be my reason to buy at least, the asphalt around here is usually good enough for my standard wheels. Looking forward to more vids!
@@scottdaviesyoutube Ditto what G B said. While watching this video, I called out several times.. "hit the grass for a few seconds" and crossing my fingers. Even a short 2 min video would satisfy the many curious skaters out there. Not only hit the grass with momentum, stop and take off on grass. I can go uphill on grass with regular exway flex hub sleeves if I hit the grass with momentum and the grass is short (but turning is slippery and slidey and feels a bit like a snowboard). You get no traction from a stand still start with them!
@@scottdaviesyoutube Just asked Wowgo. They replied that only wowgo knight is compatible with iwonder Donuts. Basically your explanation in the video is 100% precise: only motors from hobbywing 2020 are compatible.
Would avoid Lycaon. They don't back their board when they break. I couldn't even get them to troubleshoot the issue for me. They did end up blocking me on Facebook after I started warning people on their adds though. Sorry to spam your videos but you're a moderator in their fb group and haven't responded to my messages. Thought this might get your attention.
Waiting for many years hey....its great to see Cloudwheels release only 40sets after hyping these up. Sold out in 0.01 seconds. Didn’t even offer pre-orders....this type of silly behaviour is what holds this company back. Not going to hold my breath for the promised next batch in late Jan.
