Another great video Scott. This was really helpful answering what one can expect going over sidewalk seams, cobbles, and grass with the 105 cloudwheels 👍🏼
Hey Scott, I just added the cloud wheels on my Exway Wave Riot and followed the suggested settings mentioned in the video. It was spot on the Board rides like a dream! Thanks so much for you hard work with these reviews 👍🏽
I’m strongly considering this setup (wave + 105 cloud wheels) for my first electric skateboard, excellent and insightful video as always, keep up the good work!
Great review mate! I’m looking forward to your long term review on these 105 cloud wheels. They seem like a no brainer on both the Wave & Flex. Also, I’m loving the new intro on your last couple of vlogs! Keep it coming bro!
Just ordered Scott , the wave and the clouds and the extra battery and thanks for you're honest opinions. Ive been after a board for three years and the technology has finally caught up . Great vids and info can't wait enjoy and thanks.
That's what I thought we would see with the clodwheels!! Great video, Scott.. I like the 360, which is nice to have a little mix, but I like your osmo pocket videos better because they seem more personal! Awesome content anyways!
Hello Scott, forgot to mention before about the format of this video. I appreciate this is easier for you when riding and I think it works well you being able to voice over and think about what you want to say to the different parts of film. One thing only, if you can keep the ambient sounds at lower lever whilst doing the voice over it would feel a bit more "alive". Thanks
I enjoyed the trippy fish eye effect man haha, thinking of buying one of these for daily cruising round the city, might have found what I was looking for :)
Thanks Scott, really appreciated these videos whilst I figure out which short board is best for me! Seems like this board is a lot slower than the vestar mini / Meepo Mini. Doesn't seem like you miss the extra speed though? Keep the great videos coming!
Nice to see the Wave with big comfy wheels for cruising. Interested to know the range difference with cloudwheels and cranking up the power. Now you have me wondering about the uphill torque when you crank up the power on the 85mm wheels 🤔
@@scottdaviesyoutube thanks big bro, im learning from the Best mr."Scott Davis" check out my Verreal RS, unboxing video uploaded today. I'm now the first USA enbassador for Verreal thanks to you guys Motivational Comments. Slowly but shortly im building something here hope it goes good thanks again i Really appreciate having you in my Corner BigBro.Blessings
Hey Scott another great video! I’m wondering how the wave compares to the Vestar? I own a Flex and it’s the first eskate I’ve had. I really like the quality of the Flex so I’m sure the Wave would be nice also but I watched your Vestar mini review and was impressed with that also. Could you tell me what you think of these two boards in comparison? The price point of the Vestar is very appealing compared to the Waves.
Hi mate yes both are good. The Vestar is Faster but the Wave has more torque. The Wave goes further (15vs 18km) The Wave is much higher quality and tech. The Vestar is basic but that’s its beauty, The Wave is a few inches bigger and a lot more comfy to ride with Thor extra few inches. End of the day both good If you can afford a Wave get the wave, if not the Vestar mini is a great choice, just not as refined Hope that helps
Mate it’s BIG !!! Yes Cloudwheels soon on Revel. They are sending the new gear that fits the 105ds oh and a second booster so I can review the 4wD kit !!
Hey scott, are the cloud wheels from exway ok? Do i need the combo pack with pulleys and belts to install it on the wave? Sorry for the newbie questions 👍
Great video! The 360 format is nice, but some shots linger a bit too long :) Scott, a newbie question -- in order to install Cloudwheels, do you have to have a Riot setup, or they can be put onto the stock hub motors?
another great video as always :-), like the 360 touch, I can't wait til the weather gets a bit better down here in SA and I can ride, haven't been able to ride in nearly a month, chipped a bone in my wrist and now shit weather "sigh".
@@scottdaviesyoutube yea, landed awkwardly coming off, even gloves couldn't save me i hit the side of my wrist as i was holding my camera. lesson learnt always have your AT tires pumped up fully otherwise pot holes make your bamboo board like a trampoline.
Makes a world of difference, a regular longboard a very different ride and usually bigger wheels, with the cloud wheels on the short it goes over the large cracks and stones that would usually cause a issue. Not to mention sticks etc on the path.
This seems like the PERFECT board for a college kid! Light and small. Maneuverable. Has the quick charger or the quick battery for all day GO. Lights for early/late nights (how no one has built a remote with a flashlight in it yet IDK...) Hope I get into grad school just so I can show this shit off.
Hello Scott, you say you changed the settings to "race mode", is that turbo or is that another mode? This format has benefits but can you keep the ambient sound and talk over as well? It kind of feels more alive when you hear the board and all also. Cheers
This little board looks awesome!! Considering how Janky Brisbane streets are now that you ride up here, do you think it's worth getting the Cloudwheels?
Hey Mate! Great footage and edits! I personally love the 360 cam ride videos. I'd love to see more of these in the future for sure! Do you prefer the 105's or the 120's? Or is it situational? Also, excited for the next vid! Wonder what it will be ;)
@@scottdaviesyoutube I trust ya! My only problem is the 120's are too small for all the shit Michigan roads and sidewalks usually throw at me lol Tho, I bet some places would be amazing on the 105's!
I’m thinking about getting the 105 cloud wheels but I can’t decide if I should go with red or black. But I also have a question on what pulley to buy, the “Fit Flex/Wave (44 TEETH)” or the “Fit Flex/Wave (36 TEETH)*
Hello again, I am sorry I have more question. I have some boundmotor 105 mm rubber wheels which need Kegel pulleys, would they work straight onto the exway wave or do I need to buy some other pulleys? I know range is lower with rubber wheels but... Cheers
Hi mate, ask as much as you want . That’s why I’m here .... No the 105s if Kegal won’t fit. They look the same but are not. You’ll need to but the Kegal adaptor. Cheers Scott
New to ur channel and e-skating, loving the reviews & videos! I was just wondering, if I was to upgrade to the Exway Cloudwheels, is purchasing the 4 wheel pack enough to change over and ready to ride or will I need to purchase the combo pack? thanks!
@@scottdaviesyoutube thanks for the response and info! Gives me a better idea of overall cost if considering the wave with this modification. Much Appreciated
Hi mate the 110s would work but you would need yo trim the belt covers the 105s have about 3mm clearance The new Discovery seem to have fixed the issue so far im at 340km and no issues. Ill be giving a set away next week !!
Hey, how much battery range did you loose with Cloudwheels? I have them on Backfire Zealot and I have "loose" around 8 km of range. + I have forgot to change set up on remote for 105, now it is done and board and wheels are really amazing. 47 Km/h
I heard you say in another video, for the tynee mini you wouldn't reccomend the 105 wheels. Is there a reason you would for this board and not the other? I'm debating getting this board or the tynee mini 2. Any advise would help
This had slightly higher riser pads, But to be honest I lost so much range with these on the wave, The new Tynee mini 2 will handle 105s as they also have a higher raiser but has a way bigger battery
@@scottdaviesyoutube i was all about the tynee mini but they say its not allowed on airplanes. Do you know how you would travel with this? Or how you would ship it?
Matthew Schutzman only if you need them (Are your roads and paths are smooth) the originals are more zippy and fun and obviously no chances of wheel bite
@@scottdaviesyoutube Just put the 105 cloud wheels on, and there is totally wheel bite! I only weigh 170 lb. but I can easily make the board clamp right down on top of those wheels. Not sure what you are talking about in your review.
looks fantastic and thanks for the info sessions , this could be the board I've been waiting for so the question is how do you find the service of Exway if something goes wrong.
Mate it’s hard for me to judge, they treat me very well, and I just give them a call directly. What I always say is: there are two stand outs in China and that is Backfire and Exway. And with all that said , I’m always happy to help get shit sorted if the normal Avenues dont work. Cheers mate Scott
@@scottdaviesyoutube Thanks fella I've been checking you're reviews and drooling at the prospect of range , kicktail ,weight, balance ,carve and intelligent lighting and now the 105s its time to commit I recon. I've seen no better and I've been at it .
I've used the rubber ones too, the back wheels do erode faster than the front ones. But i love how they grip well even in the occasional puddle, have even ridden them in the rain in a pinch. Carving at high speed is also fun since they grip good.
when you record these ride and talk part of the video use the 360 video and use a separate mic for the talking because then you could showcase how you look on the board.
I usually do, check out my Evolve video from a few weeks ago, or my Linky, This time I wanted to try a voice over, I wasn’t a fan. But still wanted to try it.
Using cloud wheels on my exway riot i had a full lock up 4 weeks ago. Broke every bone in my face and put me in a coma for 2 weeks. Bit scared now to go boarding again.
thanks if you could on the next review actually show the turning circle against a carpark space or something measurable , I'm not interested in speed I love to carve and the stoke just doesn't have the range
The 360 footage is far superior for showing you ride HOWEVER it is no substitute for your commentary while riding. If you could find a way to marry the two for some tight shots of talking with wide shots of riding, that would be keen as can be in my opinion 👌.
On the fence between this and the backfire zealot s with cloud wheels to ride through Queens and Brooklyn.... Dude is selling a lightly used zealot s for like $740 so there is that...
This is such a great video Scott* , big thanks dude.. rocking awsome..!! Man those pathway's look so beauuuutiful..!!! Miss Australia in it's beautiful coastlines : ) It's been raining a lot here in the UK, but managed to get out on 3 days in the last week since my Exway Flex arrived :) so loving! I went for the Riot and it's great! Only thing is with have some rough and not so smooth asphalt on the pathways by the sea here, so I am hoping 105mm cloud wheels will help smothen that ride for optimum sweet vibes :) There isn't much info out there re the 105mm clouds for the FLEX, just wondering if you have any top tips, guidance?? It's a bit confusing, as in I am not sure if I need the new pulley and 44m belts, or I can just stick the wheels on?? Any top tips will be super appreciated!! ~ Absolutley loved this video Scott* , awwesome!! As a pro photgrapher of over 25 years, and videographer, think it's great!! Love your 360 cam, works really well with your review. Which camera is it? and did you add the effects in post editing? All super cool, and rocking awesome!! Loving my S1 Helmet, very good! 105 cloud wheels for the Flex, and do I need pulleys and 44mm belts? All tips guidance super appreciated!! Bless Up's Scott* 😊🍀🌟 Chris
@@scottdaviesyoutube did you prefer the kicktail overall opposed to the dkp trucks for turns? Great vid btw, I always check your content 👌 nice change to the video
The DKP are awesome on the stoke, amazing got deep carves. But and this is no secret I don’t like the tail on the Stoke. Not a fan how it actually flex’s if you put your rear foot on it
Can someone help? I can't pull off the pulleys and switch it with the 6 teeth cloudwheel one. No matter how hard I try I can't get this stupid shit off. Even if I had the fkn power of hulk I still wouldn't be able to I'll it off. I'm turning and pulling and it's not budging. I even unscrewed the plastic covering over the smaller pulley attached to the motor and the fucking plastic covering wont even come off. Someone help plz

I love the looks of 105mm Cloudwheels better than beefier 120mm Cloudwheels. I should've gone with 105mm for my Flex Riot. Damn it! haha! Wave looks amazing and even with the Cloudwheels!
No wheelpunch? With 105mm Wheels? When I can`t keep my board from kissing the standard 85mm wheels, every now and then, (sometimes even real hard) even tho I have only around 60kg and my trucks are almost as tight as you can make those Exway-Wave`s Trucks without switching to harder bushings? Friend, I like your videos so far, I am having a blast with esk8ing, but I do have to call Bull$hit on that one.
@@scottdaviesyoutube Wait, so we got different bushings AND a different (of course weaker) battery on that board? If that is even all they "renewed". Sorry, I know it is not your doing I am upset about, js... ...How is that review then relevant to us buying some very simmilar, yet different board?
@@scottdaviesyoutube js. The "new" bushings are bunk! Does it not bother you that they swap parts after you did your review? I never even knew about other bushings, just that the "samsung" battery I thought I would be buying is nixxed...
