The aspect of the story of the death of Superman and the Return of Superman storyline makes sense for this final season. The way Superman looks in the set photo in the series finale definitely suggests that Superman destroyed Doomsday and is about to get his revenge against Lex Luther because he made doomsday!!!

If they are going to do limited Superman action scenes to save money we can probably assume that there will be some sort of 'really spectacular' Superman action scene (which may be much less expensive to film/produce than it looks).

Technically the Arrowverse ended a long time ago considering they fought to make this a separate universe completely. I fought for 3 years with people about this being part of the Arrowverse until they beat me into submission.

I highly doubt we will get any less of Superman then usual, they dropped many of the regulars down to guest spots & down from 13 episodes in season 3 to 10 episodes in season 4, all of that was probably done to save budget for effects.

During season 3 Lex Luthor turned Bizzaro unto Doomsday and the battle between Superman and Doomsday is where the season ended. It looked like Superman was getting his but kicked. He killed Doomsday one more time by impaling him on a building's top spire but Doomsday doesn't stay dead.

Here’s a question that I would love to know everyone’s thoughts on do you think there will be a side switch because if you remember John Henry irons originally came in into season one using the nickname, Luthor so do you think it’s possible that John Henry irons switches over to Luther’s side to improve his tech?

This finale could very well be the only time we see Superman in costume if they are adapting the Reign of the Supermen arc in season 4. These set photos tease Henry Iron's adds the S and the cape to his armour which may well happen after Superman "dies" or disappears during his fight with Doomsday. If that's the case, it would explain why there are set photos before these ones where Clark and Lois are back working at the Daily Planet. If Clark isn't going to be around much in the present, this season could be flashback heavy as characters remember Clark and Superman's example. Meanwhile, you could have scenes of Clark in the present at his Fortress of Solitude recovering and training, possibly after Jordon finds him comatose after his fight with Doomsday. Honestly though, I am hoping for the finale we get a Superman VS Lex Luther in a comic accurate Mech Suit. Lex Luthor might possibly get his hands on John Iron's armour and make some improvements, if he doesn't invent his own.
