People seem to forget that Superman is human (Kryptonian technically) despite his powers. Regardless of what he can do it's what lies in his heart that makes him who he is. Take away the powers and you still have superman. Clark would do anything in his power to help those in need with or without powers. He gets angry like the rest of us, petty like the rest of us, selfish, jealous, etc. But I agree that soldier needs to change his pants

The point is that Superman after being attacked with kryptonite us strong enough to still fire up his heat vision and remove the kryptonite again. Super girl just transforms back into her Kara persona and isn't strong enough with Kryptonite. Also the damn CGI of his eyes when his eyes lit up

Scene was cool, but the soliders should have been way more scared ya know. I feel like the scene should have been written so they dropped their guns when his eyes glowed red, and the solider he confronted should have dropped to his knees in absolute fear. Then we could have gotten a scene of Clark talking about how he never wants anyone to fear him like that.

This interaction between Superman and Sam Lane comes full circle. Post Anderson's hiring and firing, Superman understands and respects Sam and understands why he has to do things for America. Anderson would have just killed Superman believing he was doing things for America.
