Kind of weird that there is less in the box for these than the bag of an FNX tactical. A lot of people saying this is suppose to overtake the FNX but I think it’s more supposed to be the easier concealed carry brother of the FNX
Weird that S&W M&P got away from that hinged trigger design and went for a flat faced with a blade safety, and FN just adopted the old M&P trigger that everyone hated..like what
tbcx3. For $900 you can pick up a 40 cal G23 and a 357 G32 if you are not above buying trade ins. Or, since this is a 45 auto example, you could get a G21 and $300 worth of freedom seeds. Am I showing my bias too much? Anyway, thanks for the look at the new FN and take care.
You do know you have to pay for features right? How much would your Glock cost if it came with all the features the FN has? Some want more features... There is a reason a Audi cost more than a Honda Accord

In my opinion, the FN 545 Has Way better ergonomics than the FNX 45. Also, I feel the only thing the FNX 45 has over the 545 is hammer fire which I like, but I own the 545 tactical and it is a phenomenal pistol. I would take it over the FNX 45 any day that’s just my opinion.
10:05 that actually is the strengthened springset for suppressors. With the 5-0 series (which is what I'm calling it because I can) the recoil springs that are painted are the stronger sets for suppressors. I believe they're standard in all the tactical models. The normal strength recoil springs are straight black.
Almost triple the Round nose berries in a 1911 magazine- nice. Love the 15 and 18 plus, love to have one but not for 1k. Lightweight is great too with mixed feelings of thin plastic versus metal- as per durable, longevity. I know, Can’t have everything but wow 1000 bucks 😫
I don't see the Kimber as an apples to apples comparison, maybe an HK would make more sense? In any event I love both guns, I have a 509c tactical and will be going after the 545. I'd install an M.Carbo spring kit and send it, only con is nobody makes a trigger except Apex and there's sucks! Anyways awesome video, nice gun, stop comparing tactical guns to 1911s 😂
I tried to conceal carry my FNX 45 tactical with a t-shirt, but the rounded base of the magazine is just too wide, and it prints! This will be perfect for carrying.
Triple berry cream🤣. I really don't like polymer handguns especially after what you've just shown me. It just reinforces my distaste for them. I understand trying to save weight, but you're way to balance ratio will always be off no matter how many inserts they put in there. Then look at how thin the grip is. I already see customers complaining about their grip his cracked or it starts to warp and deform. The only thing I would say I like about this is the capacity. That's about it. 18 rounds of 45 ACP and it's not a carbine, that's the only plus
I've heard gripes that FN doesn't use thick enough or high quality enough plastic for some of their guns. Many have said they feel flimsy compared to H&K's, though they usually offer more capacity for their size.
@@jamesmaysflyingwashingmach7459 I picked up my 509 to check, and they actually seem to have downgraded the magwell on the 545. The 509's has some mild flaring with a lot more meat to the plastic up the rest of the body. It's kinda disappointing really, as I've grown to really like my 509. It fits my hands like a glove and has eaten anything I've put through it without issue. Hearing them expand to even more calibers with the same design seemed great. But, if this is what they've done with it, I don't know...
Triple berry cream... What are your thoughts on the Glock 21 compared to this FN 545 anyway?... What are the differences between the two as far as price and quantity for a striker fired .45ACP handgun? I'm actually looking at getting my hands on my own .45 1911, but I'm willing to settle with a striker fired handgun for equal quality and reliability at a reasonable price.
If these were 6-700 dollars id get one. $1000 for one of these is almost insulting. $1000 gets me a G21 + an optic + a weaponlight. And thats not to say I dont think glocks are overprices
Triple berry cream. I do not like this design at all it looks to me like a toy gun with everything exaggerated, The over height front sight and that threaded barrel cap ugly they couldn’t come up with something more attractive? This is where function definitely won out of over form. but I’m sure there’s some people out there that think it’s absolutely beautiful, and if you do, more power to you. good shooting, and happy hunting.
It's probably a very capable pistol, but I am also turned off by the design. It's not Hi-point ugly, but it would never be my choice for a BBQ gun either.
