First Look at the Yamaha SEQTrak 

Yeah, I basically put it in the same kind of category almost as the nation circuit tracks and circuit rhythm almost like they had a kid… I just wish it had the pads that the circuit tracks has, not sure why everybody’s going to these clicky buttons probably a cost thing. But I do like it it just takes a little practice or getting used to the way they work to use them properly I feel like. I’ve actually thought of picking up a second one they have open box units at Sweetwater for a decent discount. I guess some people didn’t know what they were getting when they got it and didn’t really like it right away. I will admit that when you first get it it’s kind of you’ve got to learn how to use it a little bit. And the problem is that a lot of people see influences using these and they think these look easy to use and don’t get the workflow from the videos that they see them being used, and of course when they get the device they don’t know how to use it fully and it’s kind of confusing so they don’t keep the device they try it and don’t like it happens all the time I got my Akai force for a good discount for the same reason, they are not easy to use that since they’re pretty tricky at first. You just gotta learn them they take patience.

Man I kind of feel like I have a problem, I can’t put this beautiful device down! Hahaha - it really is super fun!! it’s just so easy to pick it up for five minutes and compose something quick and then come back to it later. There is nothing else I own that’s like that everything else requires set up.

Yeah - you could use MSB LSB to get the sounds up - I have not played with that on this device yet, but am wondering if it MIGHT be a way to incorporate more sounds, as in if it can change sounds smoothly - you might be able to apply an sound change and any configurations that you may need to the sound during a quick break and use a new sound after... Just a thought... But yes there will be a lot ore content coming for this device - i cannot wait to integrate it with other groove boxes and other gear to see what I can come up with. hey there - sorry just getting to reply to this... Ok so you want to use either a SEQTrack or Circuit Tracks with a loop station. I am not really familiar with the Loop Station, I am guessing you are referring to the BOSS unit that I have seen around (4 loops with overdubbing). Ok - either of these units can be set to "follow" or be the child of the loop station - it can probably go the other way as well using the Loop Station as a child and the Circuit Tracks of SEQTrack as a parent. What you need to do - is connect these units - I would use MIDI and probably use the Loop Station as the child and the other unit as a parent. The main differences between these units (capability wise) are that the Circuit can play a wider variety of samples but only 4 at a time in your sequences and has 2 FM synths built in, but can sequence 2 externals synths (on channel 2 and 4) the SEQTrack has 1 FM Synth, 2 Rompler synths 7 samples that can be triggered but not "PLAYED" like an instrument... BUT the 7 drum channels CAN be played as sampled instruments... The SEQTrack is probably what I would choose. I have both and personally thing the ST (Seqtrack) is amazing - so much so that i bought a second one... I can put together a video for you using the both of these units with my ELZ_1 play which is a looper also to give you a better understanding of how this should work for your case. @@Cap10NRGMusic Hello! Thank you so much for your reply. Ok, let me give you more context. I have the Boss RC505 MK2 (that's my loop station) it has 5 loop channels and that's the brain of my gear. As you'd say: the rest of the gear are the children of my loop station. Usually I connect a microphone, guitar, and synth to a mixer and the mixer goes to my loop station. Now, I wanna add a drum machine and that's the reason why we're talking 🤣🤣🤣. And of course, if you can make a video related to my situation it would be extremely helpful for me and I'm sure it would be helpful for many other musicians that are following your channel. @rodrigocharry5027 all right now given I don’t have the boss loop station… But I do have ELZ_1 and overall, I’m pretty sure the process would be the same. I borrow a loop station from someone but I don’t have anyone out here that has one so it will have to be “close” like as in horseshoes and hand grenades lol. If you know that expression. But yes, I will put something together for you.
