Bravo Zaxcom! An excellent pathways product to release so people don't have to feel like they must go all or nothing with the entire Zaxcom ecosystem when moving over from something else. This eases the process, and allows a stepping stone along the way. I can see lots of people in the future who start out with say a Zoom F8n + prosumer wireless (such as from Sennheiser/Sony/Deity), considering an F8n + RX4/MRX414 as their next step up on the pathway to a Zaxcom Nova. (which is a smarter way around to do it than to get a Nova first, after the F8n, and use prosumer wireless! Nah, get the RX4/MRX414 before the Nova itself)

Thank you so much for your comment! We completely agree with your thinking here! The RX-4 is a perfect way to be introduced to the power and quality that Zaxcom offers, while not going completely in the water to begin! May I ask, are you a fellow Zaxcom user or are you thinking that this is the product that puts you into the buying corner? Curious of your that’s for your own needs? Let us know!

@@trewaudio a Sound Devices 833 is my current daily driver (and had a Zaxcom Maxx before that, and many others before that....). Think I'm too heavily invested with not just the 833 but also Lectro SRb/VRT/SMQV/SMV/LT/MM400/T4/etc to be jumping ship any time soon, but if I was to ever jump (like if this combo was put out by Zaxcom a few years earlier) then they've definitely made the gradual progression path a lot smoother.

@@trewaudio would love to hear what Audio Ltd is up to as well! Are they making a superslot quad receiver and micro sized transmitter? Hope so. (would be nice if Shure released a superslot too.... it's their biggest gap in their Axient Digital line up)

This is great! Does the RX4 have Zaxnet?

Rx4 does not have zaxnet. Hopefully the RX8 will because otherwise the point of entry for zaxnet for those who use other mixer-recorders would be the QRX235 - - and it's a bit dated and doesn't offer the simplicity of having one interface like the RX4/8 offers.
