I have the original printing. It was actually my very first omnibus I ever bought. Only omnibus I have read twice. I blame it for starting my omnibus obsession, now I have about 20 other omnis I haven't even opened because I have such a backlog to read.

I'm always learning something new from your channel, so I appreciate it. I've never read this storyline before, but it looks amazing! Infinity War is definitely my favorite out of all the 23 MCU movies, so I can see where the inspiration and the resemblances derive from. I absolutely cannot wait to pick up this Omni! That omnibus and infinity gauntlet is why i started collecting omnibus comics. Im a big fan of what Marvel MCU did with the infinity gauntlet movies, and i wanted to read them in their original comics versions. I was really disappointed when i found out its out of print, but now.. now i will have it. Despite what 2020 has been so far, im going to have two Christmas days this year. ;)

This and Stern spider man are the only books i bought at cover through 3rd party when i started to omni a few years ago. Glad for reprints for everyone else and no regrets :) Its 90% nostalgia but this is my favorite marvel event of all time. Reading SS at the time and seeing the build up im sure helped a lot. It is cheesy...but its the best :)

I would be interested in collected volumes that have inserted pages that act as history and trivia annotations. Pages inserted between issues, not just at the front and back. Or heck even some kind of margins/foot note (e.g. Crisis on Infinite Earths Deluxe Edition). Kind of like the actor commentaries you get with special editions of a movie.

This was my first omnibus. Bought it because Thanos was in the post-credits scene of Avengers and I looked him up. Loved the Silver Surfer and Thanos Quest lead-up. And then the main story with Perez art. Maybe that’s why he’s one of my favourites. Awesome omnibus.

I have the original omnibus print but then I bought the box set when amazon dropped the price on that a while ago and now reading a second time through the expanded box set edition after having it sitting on the shelf for over a year. If I were to choose now, I’d skip the omnibus and go for the box set.

Thanks Omar, I have the boxset myself I love Jim Starlin's Marvel cosmic saga's all four of them the 70's Thanos wars, the 90's Infinity trilogy, the early 00's trilogy and the graphic novels of the 2010', I wish DC would do a DC cosmic omnibus by Jim Starlin collecting Cosmic Odyssey, Death of the New Gods, The Weird, Mystery in Space, Rann-Thanagar Holy War and Strange Adventures.

I remember reading this at the time. I had just started collecting the Silver Surfer around 43, I think. I had no idea any big event was coming, I just got the Surfer because I liked space and I thought he was kind of cool. Then the Infinity Gauntlet came out and I thought it was pretty good. Funny thing is, the last few issues never came to my local newsagent. I searched around all the newsagents in my area at the time and even got my parents to drive me to ones further away. All with no luck. I just had to give up on it. Many years later I finally read a digital version of the last few issues. I'd actually quit comics for a few years and didn't get back in really until the early 2000's and I found it to be a pretty decent ending once I finally read it.

Omar I know you said the new one lays flatter but I paused at the 10:22 mark and the original printing is showing way more. For example, on the top panel you can see more towards the gutter (there is some stuff you can’t even see on the new printing as it’s lost in the gutter) and also the bottom panel the text is going into the gutter more in the new printing. So I’m confused.

Can't wait to get this new edition myself. George Perez, Ron Lim, and of course Jim Starlin. Even when Perez left, Lim filled in nicely. Always loved how he drew the Silver Surfer in every panel with random shines/gleams all over his body. Too bad this doesn't have the What If story where Surfer gets the gauntlet and uses it for himself.

Omar, these 3 Infinity Omnis are great. However, isn’t the Infinity Gauntlet Box Set more extensive? I know the omnis are oversized, but I believe the box set contains everything, with the exception of the the back half of Warlock and Infinity Watch. When I bought the Box Set a few years ago, I checked and the Infinity Gauntlet omni was missing issues. Thanks for the content, as always!

I noticed something I hadn't seen before. Everyone please turn to pg. 868-869 of Swamp Thing Bronze age omnibus and DC's clever way to eliminate gutter-loss. If companies would employ this tactic, the spines and " eyes" would be of little concern.

I'm not sure that it will be available on that date in the UK, since Marvel Omnibuses that were due for release on the 14th are showing as awaiting stick with the online direct market comic shop that I mostly use.

Just put mine on order! I’m taking a big risk since I usually don’t buy collected editions unless I’ve read it before, especially one at this price point. I had some of the tie-ins from back in the day but never read the full saga. But even if I think the story doesn’t live up to the hype, the art is too gorgeous to pass up. Plus, it serves as the basis for the highest grossing movie of all time.

I am sure not a lot of viewers noticed it but Silver Surfer #52 is shown twice on the back cover instead of Silver Surfer #51 :) The reason I noticed is because # 51 was the first Silver Surfer comics I read and the reason I got into comics (It is also one of those rare occasions where you get to see Galactus without his helmet on). Great video as always and this will definitely go on my wish list since I missed buying the old printing

I've never read SS, but I enjoyed the Infinity Stone story from the Marvel films - will this book appeal to me, and will I be bogged down with loads of references I don't understand from previous eras of Marvel comics?

There's another omnibus called "Thanos Wars: Infinity Origins" which collects the earlier Starlin cosmic stories which introduce a lot of elements (like the character himself) seen here. It's not required, but would be helpful. You could also find one of the trade paperbacks, like "Thanos vs. the Avengers" or "Warlock: The complete collection" by Starlin.

The colorist of this comic is i think color blind the color of thanos first suit was colored with gold and then all of a sudden turns black and blue . i was talking about that suit bellow thanos belt from gold color to black and blue might have been more cooler if they did not change it and stick to original..

I think I noticed that the Infinity War Onimbus misses out some issues of the Infinity Watch where (SPOILER) Adam Warlock gives out the stones to people. These seem like key isues. Why would these be missed?

Yeah, I know. Just not a fan of doing that. I prefer thinking of the omnis as the complete sets. Suppose some stuff has to get the cut
