I've always been interested in whatever Heavyocity brings out since the Evolve series ( I have a LOT of their libraries). I really like this series. Voices will be a purchase and probably keys too. Thanks for the overview, Don.
Hi Don! Great video as always......reminds me of my first play through.....like a kid in a candy shop playing with all the settings and patches! I bought both on release day, well worth the money. I own a lot of Heavyocity’s instruments and they all fit together perfectly. The voices works beautifully with Vocalise 1 and 2 and Keys is almost an extension of Aeon Melodic and Rhythmic. If people like the Heavyocity sound, these are both very well recommended! I’ve used them in two projects already! Cheers for the great video! Lots of content!
hi Pete, how do Mosaic Voices differ from Vocalise 1 and 2? I cannot find a difference and want to buy one of these, either Vocalise or Mosaic Voices, thank you
How can i make "staying sounds"? Like no changings of velocity or some other functions. I just wanna make for example a pad, but mostly i can not fix this kind of "hidden LFO" problem... when i play a note, i hear some up and downs but all effects are off Please help
I love Heavyocity, but this time it's lacking of professional touch, that can be found in previous releases. It's sound like "ok we have some samples, loops etc. left, we don't really know what to do with them, so let put this into some cheesy gate, couple other cheap effect and sell it.
I think you should prepare your vids a bit more. make sure that you know the product before recording. These vids become to long without going anywhere imo. Hope you keep them coming though but with a bit more structure and shorter. Highlight the pro's and the cons. What makes this library unique or why doesn't it stand out from the rest. Is it worth the money and what are libraries the offer similiar sounds. Keep it up!
Hey Ed, thanks for the comment and I appreciate where you are coming from. I mostly focus on first look videos to share my first experiences with the libraries. As a composer myself I honestly couldn't give you a good pro or con list until months of using a library and finding out how it works in my set up for my needs - and all composers/music producers have different needs - thus I stick to the first looks. I appreciate your input and hope you don't mind skipping through some sections of these style of vids.
Agreed to some degree, but Don is a working musician. The fact that he finds time to do this is great. He's tried so many libraries that his initial thoughts can be helpful, and if it sounds generic - the library is generic. If you're in a hurry skip around, it's what I do, or put it on in the background.
I disagree. The fact he's often discovering what the program can do at the same time as us is one of things I love about Don's reviews. It gives me a better idea of how accessible the program is, what the work flow might be like and it imparts the sense of wonder I feel when I start fooling with a new program.
