Nice machine I own a rug doctor might pro and it did an excellent job on a car interior I had to do I only used vanish powder that’s for colours and wool safe materials in a spray bottle like yours it turned the car seats back cream like the car was when purchased new from dealership and it does the same to my carpets.
Hi Just a quick question, I decided to use my Airflex 400LX to pre spray the carpets i lifted the hose from the solution tank and put it into my bucket of solution and turned on the pump only to find that the filter wanted to float on the top and more importantly the shorter hose which is attached to the long hose pumps water all over the the front step of the property. Was I doing something wrong or has the hose been cut too short so it sprays over the bucket and not back in the bucket. If the two hoses were the same size I suppose it would work but one hose is shorter. I'll send a picture to give you an idea of what I mean. Please forgive me , im probably stupid but I'm a bit stuck on this one .

I love the sebo Duo machine 😍😍😍😍 more videos of the sebo Duo P machine!!! I also love carpet raking videos. But the grooming process can only be done by the best rake which is the grandi groomer rake or the brush or the combo lol. I wanna see some carpet Raking videos and some more sebo Duo footage!!
Excellent vlog and superb job, I am going to purchase soon the 8.4 lx 400 psi with built in inline heater and eventually the rotovac sheardry upholstery tool, good luck with business kind regards Mark from Billericay 😀👍🇬🇧
Hi buddy! At the moment a portable suits me, most of the work I do is commercial in blocks of apartments so it makes sense having a compact machine I can move easily from floor to floor. But who knows what the future holds!
@@TheCleanersCupboard Hey man, thanks for the reply. I'm glad that it is working for you. Yeah, I guess it wouldn't make sense to get a tm if you do apartment blocks. Keep up the good work.
Yep it’s a shame. I did contact Kerstar and they didn’t seem that interested to be honest. You can buy the KV/10 as a straight suction vacuum and it is still brilliant but it’s the power hose/head combo that really makes it
Thanks for posting this it’s so helpful! Do you mind me asking what machine you had before you upgraded to this one? I’m just starting out cleaning carpets, any help would be so appreciated
Hi no worries at all! So my first professional machine was a Kerstar Robin which you’ll see elsewhere on my channel. I picked it up for just £150 on eBay, sent it off to Kerstar and they spent another £200 re-furbishing it for me. It was a reliable machine and looked professional and was a great way to get me started and get my foot in the door. It was a little underpowered and a bit cumbersome. But as a starter professional extractor it wasn’t bad at all and was a step up from say a Karcher Puzzi or something like that.
@@TheCleanersCupboard thanks so much for taking the time to get back to me! I’ve been looking at the Bissell big green carpet cleaner, been reading loads of reviews and watching videos and it looks decent enough however it’s hard when you’re this clueless!I’m in Scotland and have a small cleaning business, but getting asked more and more about carpets so have been trying to do my research before jumping in head first. Feel free to tell me if you think the Bissell is rotten, like I say it’s so appreciated and amazing that you take the time to help people out.
@@thegoodlife3766 if you drop me an email at revitalisecleaningsolutions@outlook.com I’ll happily run through everything I know that might help you out. I’m always happy to give advice to anyone!
@@thegoodlife3766 you need at least 150 psi and 2 stage vacuums Or won’t get great results Ashbys cleaning equipment have great machines the enforcer is a beast Get Complements nearly every job
Hi yes there are several different course centres. I did mine with CleanSmart, both Prochem and Texatherm both run various courses too. They are all very good and it’s just down to where you are based in the country
ZRK REVIEWS hi well, I offer a number of different cleaning services as well as carpet cleaning. On average I get one or two carpet cleaning jobs a week at the moment on top of the other work I do too. But it’s rare I have as easy week. I’m almost fully booked for the next month! I’ve got a Peugeot Partner van but will need to upgrade to something bigger soon because I’m rapidly outgrowing it
ZRK REVIEWS well the best advice I can give is get some training because there is a science to carpet cleaning, it’s not as simple as people think. And the other thing is appearance. I spent a lot of time on my branding, uniform, van sign writing, business cards etc and it really does set you apart from the competition. Customers want to see professionalism. Not a cowboy
Hi Szymon, it depends on the type of carpet but generally it shouldn’t take anymore than a few hours if your technique is correct and you’re not over-wetting
@@mornasz So this is the important part. The pre-spray you use depends on the type of carpet/fabric being cleaned and the type of soiling/staining you’re trying to remove. In this case I was using World Of Clean SPM Atlantic with an acid rinse.
Hi there love the video very informative and good to watch. I’m starting out in carpet and upholstery cleaning I have my eye on a sebo 360 vac do you think it’s a good choice? Do you have any recommendations on a good vac to start with? Thanks.
Hi buddy. The Sebo 360 is a decent choice, they’re the industry standard. Quiet, reliable and are easy to maintain. In terms of performance they can be a little weak however especially on really dirty carpets. If you want a pre-vac with really decent performance than I’d say a Kirby is probably your best choice. Downside is they’re bloody noisy and a bit cumbersome but they really do clean deep down which is what you need a pre-vac to do. If you can find one an old Electrolux C12 or Sanitaire is (in my opinion) one of the best commercial uprights ever. They’re unbeatable for pre-vacuuming. Failing that a Nilco Combi, Kerstar KV350 or Victor upright are all fairly good choices. Basically you want to go for something commercial that’s designed to be robust and clean thoroughly. Avoid domestic machines like Shark and Dyson. Hope that helps, give me a shout if you need anymore help 👍🏼
Thanks for the sound advice. Very helpful without sounding to stalker ish, I would love to pick your brains about getting started in carpet cleaning, I can see your a RU-vidr and not a help centre but good advice from someone in the profession is hard to come buy.
No worries you’re not the only one that’s asked. My business email is on the about bit on my channel main page. Drop me an email and I’ll do my best 👍🏼
The 350 is a bit out of date. It’s a good machine let down by poor filtration and slightly iffy build quality. It performs as well as a BS but won’t last as long. The 350 isn’t actually made by Kerstar like the cylinders however. But as a cheaper alternative it’s not bad.
Great video, can I ask how long the heater takes to heat the water, I'm just pricing up machines from CS and am unsure whether to go with in tank or inline heater? Many thanks
Thanks, it takes about 90 seconds or so before you get hot water at the nozzle depending on how much hose you’re running but after that the heat is nice and constant.
I’d add a Floor Mac the Isolation makes it as good or better that 1 2 k CRBs 450 new 180 old Couple of dry pods after Carpets would be pretty much dry While packing up With dogs add Odor x unleashed and check for urine with a UV, it may require a sub surface extraction around £100 £200 to buy add on cost, or smell wet work on urine salts reaction means smell and a call back Something to let them know beforehand
Hi it’s a modified Kerstar KV/10. Excellent vacuums! One of the best in the trade in my opinion. There’s a few separate videos of it elsewhere on my channel
Hey, couple of quick question if you don't kind me asking. These portable machines that plug in, Are customers happy to have you using their electricity? and, How much electricity on average per job? Thank you.
Hi yes it’s accepted that the customer provides power and water. It’s been that way for decades. I’ve never had a customer comment on using their water/electricity. Therefore I have no idea how much it uses per job.
@@alanpilkington149 no worries, In terms of consumption I’d speak to the manufacturer and they should have that information to hand. A lot of it will depend on the specification of the machine also ie) how many vacuum motors has it got? does it have an onboard heater? things like that will affect it quite drastically.
Hello, I'm working as a carpet cleaner and upholstery cleaner for a while now... I suggest you kitchen degreaser! Helps because the dirt 98% of the time is grease!...
Hi no I wouldn’t do that. There’s plenty of products designed for breaking down grease on carpets and upholstery. Keep the kitchen degreaser in the kitchen.
@@fireduponline you can but then you’re reliant on being able to park pretty much outside the customers front door which isn’t always possible. It’s why a lot of truck mount users also carry a portable with them because 8/10 times you can’t always park that close to the customers property.
U do realise the venus sprayer is designed for the application of chemicals to spots, stains and light upholstery they have not got the output pressure suitable to fully impact the carpet fibres deeming the venus sprayer unsuitable for the application of carpet pre spray?
@@fullblastcleaningservices6042 Where did you get that idea from? The output is more than sufficient for small to medium areas of carpet. You’re only supposed to mist with pre-spray not soak. It’s the agitation method that opens up the fibres allowing the pre-spray to penetrate. I’ve used it successfully for many years with no issues.
Where did i get that from ? Its common sense and open up the fibres ? please take me through your method ? You pre spray a carpet let dwell for 10-15 minutes then agitate with a CRB preferably, theirs a reason we use pump up sprayers of up to 6bar i use battery operated multisprayers operate at upto 50psi the inline sprayers run much higher than that, ive done this job almost 10 years mate i know what im on about ur the first person in all my years of doin this trade to actually try and justify using a venus sprayer to apply pre spray to a carpet going by your machine u were fairly new to this industry at the time of this video please tell me u dont still use that venus sprayer too apply pre spray to ur carpets still ???? How long does it take u to pre spray a room with one of those ? Lol
@@fullblastcleaningservices6042 Buddy, I’m glad you’re happy with your battery operated multisprayer. You stick with what works for you and I’ll stick with what works for me. You’ve watched the video so you know what my method is. I’ve done my training the same as I’m sure you have and run a successful business with many happy returning customers both commercial and domestic. And on that point, carpet cleaning makes up quite a small part of my business. The majority is commercial cleaning. So if I was cleaning carpets everyday maybe I would upgrade what I’ve got. And ‘going by your machine?’ Classic TM wanker comment right there ^ Again, for the kind of work I do, the Miniflex works for me. I really hope that trying to publicly discredit another well established business with a good reputation has made you feel better 👍🏼 all the best.
