First Look! New Glock 48 Black Slimline Tabletop Review 

Everything you said was exactly how I felt about Glock until I got the 48. I’m a hammer strike guy and mostly all my firearms are hammer strikes, until I got a Glock 48. They did a great job figuring out why a guy like me who wouldn’t want to purchase a Glock, to enjoy and actually get one. The Glock 48 is probably the only Glock I’ll purchase due to the 1911 feel and how Light weight and effective it is. Thanks for the reassurance 🤙🏽

You can get a flush 15rnd mag from shield arms called the S15!

This gun is my baby . Smooth trigger pull , nice barrel length . It’s my first Glock & I love it . I plan on buying the glock19 next

I got +4 extensions for 3 of my 4 10rd mags for my 48 and so I will load it with a 10rd mag and have the 14 rd mags as a backup. also, this is a perfect CCW pistol, Glock hit it out of the Park with this one for sure.

The 48 is likely specified for the Canadian market. The barrel length happens to be at or slightly above the minimum requirement for Canada. Also, they have magazine restrictions as well. This is basically the Leaf Gatt. Which I like.

Had my 48 black ndlc for awhile & it's my most accurate 9mm Glock so I just layed away a 48 MOS with Swampfox Sentinel. Can't wait to try it at extended ranges . 48 is one accurate blaster. The G27 ain't for new Glock owners cause it's a bit snappy & has a 2 finger grip. Far as CCW the 48 conceals for me fine canted in a HAWG holster.

I wanted to let you know, because you didnt mention it yourself, the glock 48 is glocks 1911! its no accident that it resembles the 1911. It is a 1911 also. ( BUT BETTER! ) yes, better, because Glock has been the best at what they do, for 40yrs now. They make combat handguns that will consistently, reliably, accurately, effectively, work, and prevail, in ALL KINDS OF ENVIORMENTS, CIRCUMSTANCES AND SITUATIONS! Theyre guns have the best ( 99% ) consistency of every other hand gun in the market to this day, for over 40yrs now. ( no other company can say that ) And the only reason their reliability is 99%? Is because some knuckle heads like to ignore glocks advice, and use ammo that doesnt work well with glock. Glock gives ammo recommendations. AND IF YOU LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THE GUN???? IT WILL WORK FOR YOU 100% OF EVERY TIME! THAT IS A GLOCK! I also wanted to suggest you trying out the GLOCK 45! If you like the 48? You will love the 45! Its a hybrid of the 17 and 19 and has 17 +1 rounds in one magazine! ( oh, and being that you work in a gun shop? Doesnt your employer give you an employee discount on anything in the store??? : / If not? find another gun shop to work for, who does! most do.. The "slimline" series is more than just the 43x & 48 it's the 42, 43 as well and the very first gun Glock called a "slimline" was the 36.

Nice video. Dude, glock aways looks like testing consumers. Check the european glock's site and you'll see the "slimline rail". My guest is that they change grip texture also. Forget about my english, I'm brazilian and learn english watching youtube videos...

Sweet. I want to give the 43X and 48 a shot. I used to own a regular 43 and traded it for a Shield because the 43 was actually painful to shoot and I hated how it would leave my trigger finger throbbing. I wonder if the longer grip would make it less flippy.

GLOCKSTORE has been selling the black slide for the G43X & G48. I was wondering if it was an OEM black slide or if they coated it or not. Good review new sub here. 👍 ✌️

The spring doesn't go all the way so you can change your sights. The slide at the front is enclosed Hence the hole at the bottom

I just don't like how the G48 slide is longer than the frame. I bought my wife the G43X, and it looks nice. That's my ONLY problem with the G48.....just how it looks. That's it. Other than that.......yeah. It's a Glock. 💁‍♂️ A Glock on Atkins.🤷‍♂️

You should probably clarify the Glock 43x from Glock 43. The 48 and 43x were released simultaneously, including the same exact size frame and housings but different slide length. Both 10+1 magazines. The Glock 43 was a single stack six round mag released April 2015.

Is the slide finish the same as on the gen 5. I would definitely order the Black 48 over the Silver. Nice video man

Iv heard that letting the slide slam shut on 1911’s without a round in the mag can cause problems... it can mess a quality trigger job up and make the hammer go down on its own when it slams shut.. doing that with any pistol isn’t good for it.. it can weaken what holds your barrel in place and decrease the accuracy of the gun. They say the round being in the mag is enough cushion on the slide for it not to mess the gun up.. after all its designed to grab rounds from the mag and shoot them.. not slam closed with no round..

The 48 barrel is not 1” longer than the 43x it’s .48” longer or about 1/2”

My dad got the 43X with the silver slide. I did not like the “gritty” slide. I’m curious as to how this black slide feels.

19 is the best I have a 48mos to but my 19 is better if you want a bigger grip the 19x is the best for that only glock that comes with maritime spring cups.

I wonder if the hole in the bottom works like a Ported barrel controlling the muzzle flip and they put it in the bottom so that the flash won’t be to bright?

You shoukd never drop the slide on an empty chamber on a 1911, it will damage the sear, disconnector, and hammer engagements with time. Bill Wilson has a video on why its so bad for a 1911 especially but not good for any handgun really

43 and 43x/48 magazines are not interchangeable

Can yu put a black slide on a silver 48?

I’m interested in the corrosive difference of the silver nPVD slide (on original 48 and 43X) versus the black Glock is now releasing. I’d read other reviews saying that the nPVD wasn’t just for a color change, but was released to help prevent corrosion with in waist band carry, as opposed to traditional black Glock slides. Has anyone compared the slides from that view?
