You know what I really want to see…a TrailRecon “Cheap Jeep” Challenge. A full rig for 10k or less. I think it would add a lot of depth to the channel and may draw in more budget minded off-roaders. Great stuff as always Brad.
When the Master Chef got his 392, I knew it wasn't long before you had to get one too. Congratulations, you sir are living the life, and great combination. The CEO of Stellantis did say that the Hurricane isn't going to replace any engines, at least not yet. He specifically said the 5.7L Hemi is too important to their brands to replace. I think the 392 is too low production to be replaced any time soon. Though living in San Diego county, I think the highest gas prices in the nation, that 392 was a gutsy call sir! :)

Yay we get to watch another one build up a 100k$ rig. I’m with the other commenter about maybe building something on the cheaper side for normal people to get some ideas. Even a 25k$ budget would be awesome.

I really think this is going to be a crowd favorite Brad! It's fun to go out and try new/different things like the 4XE but man its basically impossible to beat the power, reliability, and sound of a V8!

I like seeing your joy from the many trips spent out in nature on adventures. I’m sad you sold the 4xe. I was looking forward to seeing more videos on it. The 392 has a bigger tank but has much worse fuel economy than the 4xe so the 4xe has more range, 370 mi vs 301 on EPA rating. I have the 4xe and it’s by far been the best off road vehicle I’ve ever driven. Some have had issues, but all Jeep JLs have had issues, it’s a Jeep thing. The 4xe is an off-road beast just like any other Rubicon with silent all electric options and capabilities. The payload limitations you brought up are the most valid reason why it wouldn’t work for you as an overlanding vehicle.
Congrats Brad, super sweet new Wrangler. 4.56 gears from the factory, cool. Between you and Marco one of you better pull a fuel trailer. Glad you dumped the 4XE. I didn't realize you were having cooling issues with the diesel.
So far the 392 is getting better fuel economy than my JK, so I can't complain. Love the diesel, but while towing up grades it would constantly overheat... pretty frustrating since I tow and off-road trailer often.

@@fullspeedfordbronco if it’s anything like most twin turbo inline 6 engines then it should be able to withstand a lot of horsepower with aftermarket upgrades

Exciting! I am contemplating ordering a 392 next month. This late in the year I want a 2023 model. I also think Jeep will be celebrating 20 years of the Rubicon with special editions, decals, etc.
I’m 15 rn and after I finish building my dirt bike im going to start saving for a jeep wrangler. It’s my dream car :) Your videos make me want one right now lol!
Hey brad! I have a passion for vehicles so much also….its so hard to not trade so much lol. Ive had a 88 jeep yj…94 jeep yj…06 tj…08 yellow 2 door jk..15 jeep wrangler unlimited…and now a 13 jeep wrangler unlimited… plus had a 392 scatpack challenger for few months…lol. I cant hardly help it!!!!!!! Vehicles are so cool. And fun. Especially with my wife and Kids! Me and my wife have had 30 vehicles within being married almost 4 years! Its a passion that’s addictive

Still have and love the Power Wagon, but honestly just been using it for truck duty lately. Will get it out on some long trips with the camper later this year.
The 4xE is a Mall Crawler for people who also want to be green , its a pretty good weekend warrior off roader too but nowhere close to what Brad hoped for
Happy for your new toy. And agree with you about the practicality, or lack thereof, of the 4xe for your purposes. My first venture into the new technology will definitely be a hybrid but I don't really do much long range traveling. Will use the old gasser for that. Until the range of full EVs is about 10-15% longer and, more importantly, the infrastructure to support them, is more like that for gas/diesel vehicles I will pass on EVs.
I have to say that sound is music to my ears, watching your channel is as about as close I’ll get to owning any of your rigs , but I get the smile , not sure how many you have had but if it makes you feel any better I’ve had over 30 bikes maybe the same in cars in 40 years 😂😂😂
Thanks for taking one for team and buying the 4xe and reviewing it for us. I enjoyed having my suspicions confirmed that I will never be in the market for one……392 on the other hand is a different story.
The moment you mentioned the legality of having to rely on a state telling me what I can and cannot own reminds me how much better my life has been since I left california in 2018… I do not miss it… to those who enjoy still living there… no judgement from me… 👍👍

your excitement is contagious. I Have a 94 range rover classic lwb that I love... but if I imagined getting another rig and I could, it just might be a 392 Jeep. Hopefully I will return to real life and sanity after a few hours and forget all about it. Have fun in it.. Be safe

I actually had a member of one of my local off road groups with a 4XE actually run out of gas and electricity on a long trail. Meanwhile my Taco still have a 1/4 tank :)

Not really sure how I missed this video when it came out! But I just submitted a build two days ago for a firecracker red 392 with xtreme recon package…. I can’t wait for it!
