Downgrade from Xrd tbh. Undine and Necro have literally no personality shine through anymore and are just silhouettes like Eddie but with less character. Dizzy herself is still kind hearted waifu material, whatever. But her "wingmen" are pretty much a straight downgrade visually and character wise.
Like many have noticed, Ice Spike freezes the floor and reduces floor friction. But there's another thing about it. In the clip vs Sin, ice spike freezes them, it freezes the floor, they break out and block before Dizzy can hit them, and the floor stays frozen. But then in the next clip vs Bridget, they get frozen by ice spike, and they break out. This time Dizzy hits them before they can block, the floor pops and hits them into hard knockdown, and then disappears.
The axl change seems to be a change in the input for rensen: He couldn't combo 6K into rensen before because rensen is a charge move and you couldn't charge it fast enough after the 6K, so it looks like they either sped up the charge or just made it a motion input.
apparently leo did a flashkick that isn't possible in current version, so it seems like a universal change to charge moves, either a shorter timer or an sf6 chun stance style thing where u just do 46 or 28 to cancel into it (which would kinda bum me out as a charge enthusiast, ngl) also, some axlcord gamers said rensen looks like it's 18f now (down from 24f). a close-ish 2h > rensen on block might not be jumpable now, which is nice. (it's still doom tho)
8:32 Ok so after looking more in depth at the trailer I think the change to Axl is one of 2 things either Rensen takes less time to charge or just isn't a charge move anymore I counted in frame by frame and assuming they started charging the first possible frame they still didn't have enough time to charge Rensen

dont hate charge inputs be specially for axl, less charge input makes just so much of his gameplan truly possible. too many specific anti air situations where you basically have to be praying and anticipating a hit if you want to get rensen in a combo
Bedman can combo into install right now , the change he got was !H traveling further and 5k launching a bit further up which allows for that particular combo to work with install.
He's now losing mana gradually as the upkeep of the Bookmark Super, and I might be hallucinating but it seems to be draining faster the longer the Super goes on.
@@Phosphophyllite21 I meant it now drains over time rather than only when he gets new cards, hence the cost of "upkeep" for maintaining the Super instead of cancelling it early with a Dust command. Cause IIRC it only cost mana to swap cards before during Bookmark Super.
Dizzy was the boss of Guilty Gear X, which came right after Guilty Gear 1. She did have a Michael Sword type move in the past, but only on her EX variation. 3:47 no, it's her j.2S which is not in any other game besides GGAC+R. That move is a 270° 9f active arc around her that's 7f startup, and that is throw invulnerable for some unfathomable reason. Insane move. 4:29 the wings seem to be an install move, that might power up her specials with extra effects such as the ground ice break.
It's been in the surveys for like 3 years now so they know we want it but they just refuse to add it. Maybe it takes more work than we're expecting since the game was created with the tower system in mind from the start?
I really like changes such as Asuka being able to swap test cases on his reshuffle super and Sol finally being able to combo into HMC. But other changes like Pot Buster getting armor and Leo Pillar>Backturn being safe aint it.
May Labber's initial thoughts: 1. We dont know if 5h here is off of air hit, because the animation is the exact same if it were to have forced air hit properties or just anti-airing. We cant decisively tell. 2. either chipp health got buffed or May scaling got cut, the damage numbers dont add up. Cant tell from what point tho. 3. This will most likely kill hkd 3 way. 4. We also lose a lot of safejump options 5. Beachball oki looks like the way to go, or c.s otg routing 6. Damage optimals seem like they would remain unchanged? New routing seems possible, and probably imminent 7. doesnt change that h dolphin split is still bad in neutral but it might help against some zoners? 8. Im overall pretty happy with the dolphin change, definitely new stuff to mess around with and giving h dolphin split an actual use is nice
These Leo buffs are nasty! You guys might be caught up in the 214S buff but the real fucked up buff is the ability to do dash buttons in backturn. Backturn dash until now has been COMPLETELY inactionable like Johnny/Slayer’s dashes, and the fact that you can just toss out a move whenever is soooooo good
Sol had 7 changes there lol: NRV cancelable Fafnir cancelable and wall bounces HMC costs full meter, combos/cancelable 5K potentially added start up NRV and Fafnir definitely are nerfed to compensate the cancels. Fafnir either loses GC or plus frames, assuming the latter since their design practices the past year had an emphasis of giving guard crush. NRV maybe loses counter hit level and low profile frames start up is increased without a doubt.
@@Tom-vx7qh Even if the armor is at the same frame when the grab animation is active, it will beat most 5K Round Start options. If it's frame 3, any time Pot can back Megafist out before then he's gonna grab you.
I have no idea HOW they did it but they've made it so Axl can combo with 6K > Rensen, he does it twice in the clip but you normally can't do that. Again I have no idea what they're changing about him to make that possible, be it making 6K into a 4K, making Rensen a motion instead of a charge (which I doubt), or just making a special "you can followup 6K with Rensen by pressing 6S" property or something. Other than that I assume they're saying Axl is fine just with what they gave him last patch (which admittedly was a lot)
I’m sorry my friend but bedman combining into install and extending isn’t new. What does look new is an increased range on his head bomb error; and I think an adjusted 5k launch angle which in turn allows for more install routes.
Bedman could always combo from install. It seems like head bomb error either tracks now or goes further, which means his neutral is going to be a lil better.
For sin at 22:38 it looks like he can just do the dash momentum as if he would do after a special move for one bar so he can immediately dash to pressure witch is sick
One thing I noticed about Dizzy that I don't really know how it worked in xrd or xx was that her fish seemed to only activate after an attack connected? Like the first clip it waited for a long time before the 6H connected and then in the CH 2H clip it activated almost immediately so I'm wondering if it only activates after a move connects (on block or on hit) I'm pretty sure it was just a fixed timing in older games but I could be wrong about that
I think it might activate based on proximity. In the first clip the opponent is further away and the fish moves forward first and attacks when it gets closer. In the second the opponent starts much closer and it seems like the fish attacks right away without moving first.
@@darkChozo8 that doesn't really sound right just because Dizzy is part zoner If it were based on proximity that would heavily limit the uses for the move and not really give it a purpose in neutral, especially since they didn't show off the laser fish (I'm just gonna assume they got rid of it for simplicity), my guess is that they went with an approach that would make it useful regardless of range by having it activate when Dizzy makes contact as it would be useful in pressure by giving extra frame advantage to her buttons as well as in neutral where it would assist her other projectiles + michaels blade
@@tenackfgc Just to be clear I meant that the fish looks like it travels forwards and only attacks when it gets close to an opponent. Not sure but I think you might have interpreted it differently since I phrased it kind of weird. I think that would be a useful zoning tool since it would basically be a slow projectile that controls a pretty big chunk of space as it moves up the stage. Not really sure how it would work overall since it doesn't really have the air/ground mix of something like the laser fish, but that might become clearer once we actually see her full kit.
@@darkChozo8 I knew what you meant, basically something similar to minifaust where it controls that area of the screen except you can't jump over it I still don't think it works like that especially since in the trailer it moves INCREDIBLY slowly and I don't think it would be as useful considering she places it right next to her and she likely can't have more than one on the screen at a time but I can see how my reasoning would lead you to think I misinterpreted what you meant
Also another thing I didn't consider. Imagine playing against that. Characters who need to get in have to somehow avoid the fish, which doesn't seem like it would happen so instead you just kinda have to take the offense which in this game leads to a much higher win% for the Dizzy player Against other zoners it depends how quickly it goes away but it wouldn't add TOO much Both of these outcomes would be significantly less interesting (overall there's probably someone who would enjoy that it just doesn't seem to fit with what this game is going for to have both characters not really have much to do, usually the attacking player needs to do SOMETHING like manage a resource and fish doesn't seem to be a resource per say) it seems much more interesting from a design perspective to have both players play around when and how the fish will be detonated, and opens up a lot of interesting possibilities
Sin potentially could have the coolest rehaul and Gazelle Step becoming a special opens a lot of experimenting. It costs stamina, maybe just maybe they can enhance other specials at the cost of stamina. Potentially a charge beak driver. Follow ups accessible without the special at the cost of meter? Also make Hawk Breaker cost one stamina bar idc lol.

That Asuka change looks more like a buff, you already lost mana over time and when changing cards during Bookmark Full Order. Being able to change Test Case feels like it can set up some nasty setups, like TC2 has multiple copies of the low and high spells. Accessing the best from TC2 and being able to go back to TC1 and TC3 could be nuts
Elphelt got a minor nerf from command grab super persisting after wall break w/ meter gain penalty after the explosion. The consistency change for 214H is nice especially for hkd side switch imo as you used to get looping oki w/ 2k2d b4 current patch but now you just drop if you dont press early cS. Praying for 2S/2D startup buffs still (if its not I am not playing this trash character anymore arcsys pls)
LK is right there's a gap there and that spacing gives far parry, even though it very much looks like it should be normal, so it looks like she gets to dash cancel off far parry. Which is great I've wanted then to do something with it forever now.
It the bridget part of her trailer, the golden wings Dizzy had little rays of little sparked and went straight to bridget center of mass.... can it be a DoT??? i dont it's an install, but more of a powering up overtime type of mechanic

The lore reason Dizzy has Michael Sword is because she's the daughter of Sol and Aria, who already had turned into Justice by the time Dizzy was born. That's why she's a gear, and also why she has always had her own versions of Imperial Ray and Gamma Ray for her overdrives. I assume she can do more Justice moves now because she's learned to communicate better with Necro and Undine and has more control over her power, and why she isn't trying to get them to stop beating her opponent's ass anymore in her animations lmao.
Axl’s change is something to do with Rensen, but after looking at Leo doing 2S into flashkick it might be a universal charge change; it’s that or a input change. Either way it would be easier to 6K > Rensen since we can only do it now on counterhit.
2s>flashkick is done by holding 3 during the dash startup and using that to input 2s. may does (almost) the exact thing to get her 2k>svd burst-safe routing in combos
Not really a fan of armor pot grab because it may mean he will do on wake up sometimes . Also I liked how Lewis couldn’t always combo u but with this he might be able to but we will have to see the notes . I do like all the changes to my mains , I just hope that they don’t make me pay a tax for a buff like last time
idk what mic your using but there are good VST plugins for OBS you can get that would help with the compression. i recommend the "mjuc jr" and the "wider" plugins as well as the default noise gate filter for the high end of your audio as it blows out when you get too close to the mic. sorry not tryna be a dick just another streamer tryna help.
you're thinking way too hard on the baiken parry change the only thing changed is the fact you can dash cancel far-parry (ie the one that happens when you're too far for baiken to toss you) that's literally it, plus they added an effect on it.
@@ckorp666 because 1: that's 5H not c.S, 2: normals that are big enough to not be within Baiken's grab range (ie a far slash or something like that) trigger the far parry and just guard crush.
@@1gnis1337 Alot of people are saying it might become 4K. I disagree, I think Rensen might just no longer be a charge input (thank god), but it's a possibility.
I see the Japanese VA also delivered her lines in a monotone. I know that in the story she's matured and is more confident, but how is reducing her speaking to a monotone an interesting character trait? Sigh, I guess the Japanese VA is marginally better than the English version.
The big deal with armoured pot bust is it now beats DPs again. If you DP on wakeup against pot bust, pot armours it and punishes with a second pot bust (or a combo if you’re a nerd)
