Can’t wait to download this update Since I tow with my R1S, hoping the Halloween mode is included, would like the option to change the interior RGB color and stream movies while charging
According to recent interview with RJ, I wouldn't hold your breath for Carplay or Andriod Auto support. And, yes, kudos to the Rivian software team, HOWEVER, they need to address the crazy vampire drain. So I'll reserve any "amazing" praise until they can significantly reduce the outrageous vampire drain problem, yes, problem!
Great video! An easy fix for the info while keeping the same design would be to allow us to swipe between cards. Tire pressure doesn’t usually show up when aired down in off-road mode so the ability to swipe that card to switch it to battery temp would be nice. Or just make them widgets and let us move them around where we want them in that grid! Another feature request would be access to the camera in the windshield. Especially for drive cam. My front bumper cam is usually dirty and having access to the top cam would yield better videos to post. (Fisheye and low to the grown isn’t all that useful for sharing experiences with other owners) Lastly, arrival battery percentage instead of mileage in navigation is sorely needed! Either show both or give the option to switch it! 😁
Nice run through on the new update, and great job on a lot of improvement to the quality of your videos! Looking forward to this update when I get my truck back from service, and I'm now even more excited to try towing for the first time. As for updates I'd like to see, I just want an option to show the odometer and trip meter in the driver's display. And to be able to mirror my Android phone screen onto the display for movies etc.
Thanks! I agree that the driver display is underutilized. Trip meters would be great and a clock. Also, one would assume the tire pressure info will eventually go away from the driver display since it’s now in the data view on the big display. Lots of options. It’s fun to have a vehicle that changes with updates.
Ditto on the "want an option to show the odometer and trip meter in the driver's display" however IMHO it doesn't need to be an option, just display it. No need to add to the options as there are more important things to provide the driver as an option.
YES YES YES! ... Just read a comment the other day that's worth repeating - "would it be acceptable if your ICE vehicle leaked fuel?" Yes, I know fuel is not used to maintain the electronics on an ICE vehicle, but there is just waaaaaay too much vampire drain. A Mustang Mach-E can can sit for weeks and maybe loose only a mile or two. In two weeks my R1S loses about 10-15 miles! And that's with Gear Guard off (at home) and all the other recommendations applied to mitigate drain. RIVIAN - every software update needs to include significant improvements to reduce vampire drain!!
Thanks for the videos. I'll be getting my R1S this November. How would you rate the recirculated heat in the third row in a Colorado climate? Is it cold to start? Does it equalize quickly? I have five kids and will need all the seats, but I am concerned about heat in the third row during a Pennsylvania winter.
I kinda would like them to add the text of the mode underneath the drive modes or something. Someone on the outside can’t look at those pictures and know what they mean until they push it.
To clarify, if I were to add a bike rack to the hitch, this would be a "trailer" and the updated weight and range estimates would work? I took a trip last year with 3 bikes on a hitch rack and the range estimates were highly inaccurate.
