First Look - Roland SE-02 Synth 

I just bought one and for bass, it’s better and more immediate and punchy than my Moog One, Prophet 5, Juno 106 and OBerheims. Mainly when it comes to percussive punchy Minimoog funk bass. It really is the closest thing to a vintage mini moon I’ve heard. You’re right, there’s no justice done for them on many video demos.

We've actually taken a direct feed from the synth for recording purposes.

I don't know what you did, but the sound from the SE-02 is bad.

They may have recorded it directly, but they most definitely didn't put that audio in the video. That also explains that you can hear them talking while they're playing. Normally they cut the mic audio and boost the synth audio when they're playing/demonstrating something.

Its all about the finger slide!
