Hey Drew - thanks for the review, glad to see you're digging Stout FLK so far, I hope it serves you well. To answer your Q's on washers and coatings on blade and handle: we used stainless ball bearing washers, black TiNi on the blade, and black oxide on the handle.

I have crapped on SOG knives for awhile( with good reason). Someone gifted me the new Terminus XR a couple of months ago. It's become my main work beater. So pleasantly surprised! SOG has definitely stepped there game up in the last year. Hope it continues. Wish Gerber would take note. I'll definitely be getting this one. Great review!

Just subscribed you just shared this in the Facebook edc gear group.. I recently got into the hobby not that long ago.. I know alot more in lights but definitely have to make a knife video soon.. You are very informative.. Im not that smart in the knife world.. I always tell people this i used to think a knife was just a knife that they were all the same. I definitely know now they aren't the same.. The quality in steel and material is very important to me now..

I purchased a Stout recently....overall I really like it, my only issue with it is the choice SOG made to use T6 hardware for the pivot, the pivot screws are extremely shallow and getting a solid bite being T6 is very difficult...a bad design choice IMO.

A surprise from SOG. Nice looking little knife. I would cut the flipper off though. Not too huge a fan.

I’ve seen it done on plenty of flippers! The thumb hole is plenty ergonomic to open!

It’s actually on bearings.. Thinking about picking one of these up due to its resemblance to the Oz Machine Company Roosevelt. I really want that knife, but it’s going for as high as $2K on the secondary right now, and that’s when you can even find one. Hoping the Stout can kind of scratch that Rosie itch for $60.

Really like the stout flk and how it opens. Purchased a Flash too. Trying to figure out the Flash and how to get it open. Flash is kind messing with my thumb when opening. Ideas?

First of all, loved the video! but now I can't choose between the SOG Stout FLK and the Spyderco Para 3. at the size comparison, you showed the Para 3 and they both look great in my opinion, any advice on which is better for everyday carry use?
