First Look: Terraforming Mars Big Box with 3D tiles 

I'm in Canada too and haven't received a shipping notice yet. Guess they are doing Ontario first before out west.

I Kickstarted Ares Expedition and I was a little bummed at first, but I figured I’ll get my copy soon enough. Besides, I’ve got enough games waiting to get to the table cause of the pandemic, waiting a little longer for Ares Expedition isn’t too big a deal. Great vid Ryan! I’m glad you showed off the TM big box and shared your thoughts, both good & bad. I agree that the “expansions” bottom tray does seem like a half assed after thought. But at least everything fits in one box. 👍. Oh, and the 3D tiles are damn pretty.

I passed on the domes, which I regret for a while now.. :( but I got the super expensive shiny metal cubes packed seperately in tiny plastic baggies.. :P

I love this, your laughs of joy make this absolutely the best unboxing I've ever seen and I haven't even finished watching it yet. Regarding shipping: If I am getting the deluxe version that isn't available in retail? No issue, the extra stuff takes time to manufacture and ship. If the company (like Stronghold did here) manages to horribly miscommunicate the entire situation, then I'm pissed because they can't communicate and not because they shipped some stuff to Target. Regarding Etsy 3D prints: Aesthetics are very personal, but there's probably only going to be one version of the official 3D stuff and limitless versions of unofficial 3D stuff. I might be able to find something that's more pleasing to me on the third party market, but it is likely to be more expensive since it's a smaller print run (or I'd have to print it myself, which is extra work and might fail along the way).

If Target had received the same version of Ares Expedition, I would have been mad but since the retail version doesn’t have recessed boards so I think the KS version is worth the wait.

That Anachrony box is a monster! How do you have room for your other games :)

I understand why it would happen, but I would still be mad. Looks pretty cool. I hope one of my friends gets it so I can play it. I don't love the game enough to buy a blinged set.

Stronghold published a boxing diagram after Tom Vassal complained about it lacking one. Every game with trays should have a diagram of how to pack it.

Turmoil was actually the fifth expansion to Terraforming Mars, Venus Next & Hellas/Elysium were released in 2017, in 2018 Prelude & Colonies, and so Turmoil was the fifth in 2019.. :)

You need the eight small white cubes for the Colonies expansion. Don’t throw them out!!!

I'm new to this board game so I'm a bit behind. Would like to purchase the "big Box" but it seems kick starter no longer offers it. I can get the big box from other retailers, but I haven't found anyone who carries the city domes nor the first player rover. Anyone know where I can still get these?

I don;t need this, I haven't played the base game yet ....but I so want to have this box, everything looks so cool and pretty, damn XD

I don't back KS campaigns for retail versions, I back it for deluxe versions. So as long as that deluxe version isn't available, I'm fairly okay with it. It's a bit annoying, but nothing to get mad over. So many other, far more important things to be mad about in this world.

I am not angry about the target deal. I am angry about their explanation either they are not explaining it properly or they are thinking we are idiots. It was initially schedules to come out September... we get an update early on saying they are ahead of schedule and will be shipping in June.. people saw it in target and honestly I was ok with that. Then they come out with an update saying that because of covid and shipping they couldn't get it to us in time and they had a contract with target to start selling June 25th. Timelines don't make sense. How come they are saying we are ahead of schedule and then come and blame covid for being late. Are we ahead or late?

Canadians, please do not complain about thirld world shipping, if you don't know how things are in Brazil. When a package from abroad makes it to its final destination, which happens *very rarely*, then you have to deal with customs. Recently I received a replacement for Barrage, arriving from Italy. It was literally two white meeples, size 1/2 inch each, and they wanted to charge 60 euros for custom duties.

I would only be pissed (mildly annoyed really) if I bought a Kickstarter that claimed it would not be reprinted or go to retail and then it did. I don’t like to feel like I have to panic-purchase something to avoid missing my chance or pay inflated secondhand market prices. That said, I’ve only ever backed two Kickstarters in my life, and I swear if Winter Kingdom ever goes to retail.. well I’d be happy because people should be able to buy and play it!

GameTrayz DID NOT make those trays. They are horribly designed. GameTrayz would've had proper places for each component and far more thought out. This was all Stronghold.
