Awesome first mountain launch! Around the 3:53 mark, I heard the sound of an airplane engine and then around 4:25, saw the shadow of the tow plane and hang glider in tow, moving across the field below.
I couldn’t see a wind sock but I saw the plane land below with the swimming pool to the right so that to me would tell me the wind direction and that would be the same for the hang glider I’m guessing land into the wind But still pulled it off without injury that’s the main thing
Don't beat yourself up about that flight. You did great! Also, the first time flying from that high can be a little disorienting. Even so, you boxed the field pretty good and set up your landing like a pro. I'll bet your instructor only had good things to say.
That's the Flight Park's glider. I can tell by the down tube. Lookout Mountain has a special down tube that is designed to be an easy repair if broken on landing. They usually keep their best trainer gliders for mountain flights. (I use to work there in the 80's)
