You and I both are having the winter blues! 😢 I drove Mr. 52 in the garage briefly today. I was going to make a video, and ended up cleaning and reorganizing the garage. 😂 It looks great! The best it ever has. Maybe that should be a video? What do you think? How I organize the chaos?

I freaking love it! My wife is happy because I’ve cut the down the time to mow the lawn significantly; which means I’ll have an excuse to double cut?! 🤣 The time I’ve saved turning is quite remarkable. Enjoy the mow!

Not quite, the grass doesn't quite need it yet here in Michigan but I will be soon. Before with my 21inch push mower it took me a solid hour and I'm betting it will be closer to 15-20 minutes now

@@gregsmith3410 I have a Kohler as well. Running strong! 🇺🇸 made; which I love. Great mower to far! I’ll probably get 150 this year... I hope... because that means I’m mowing! Compared to my Husqvarna YTH22V46 lawn tractor, it feels like I’m racing in a pod race! It covers some ground fast. 💨

It’s coming! I haven’t mowed yet. I’m exercising every ounce of patience I have. If we have some nice weather over the weekend, it might be time. Stay tuned…

Thanks for watching! 1. Making the back of the deck a 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch higher than the front is proper deck “leveling” on most riding lawn mowers and zero turns. If you have either, check the manual. More than likely this will be the recommendation. I set mine at 3.5 inches and leveled the deck at this setting. After this is set, other heights should have the proper tilt as well. 2. I will make an install and striping video! I might install it today... but not mow with it for a week or two yet. I do have videos on how it stripes on my Husqvarna lawn tractor in my lawn playlist, but not on the zero turn... yet... but definitely coming. If you have other things you’d like to see, let me know. Be safe and great question / suggestion.

I am unsure and would contact Ariens or a dealer. It could be a failed PTO switch. If it is, maybe they can send you a free one, if under warranty. It isn’t an expensive part, I don’t think, and you probably could do it yourself. If you are uncomfortable with the the work, take it to a dealer. They should be able to fix it easily. The only difference between the 2 is that the XL had the zt2800 transmissions which are serviceable. The XD has the EZT 2200 which they say are not serviceable. Still a great option. And it's a thousand dollar savings

How does it do going up hills if you have any?

... more like what type of grass type don’t I have! 😆 I currently have been using off the shelve Scott’s seed. I put down the Sun and Shade mix, Tall Fescue mix, and Perennial Rye mix. I get the Perennial Rye mix off Amazon. My box stores don’t carry it in the area. I’m considering different seed this fall. Maybe some of Pete’s tall fescue or blue heat. I hit it hard Labor Day (September 1) weekend in the fall. I core aerated, overseeded, and fertilized. It’s paid off huge this spring. I’ve also been mowing as often as I can and fertilizing every four weeks by using half the nitrogen per 1000. It’s thick and growing quick! It’s certainly fun to mow. Thanks for watching!

Awesome! I enjoy the mow more than ever! Let me know what you think of it. Tilting the deck front to back is standard on most rider and zero turn mowers to optimize cut performance. In most user manuals it will recommend a 1/4 to 1/2 deck tilt / pitch. I was like “whaaaaa” the first time I learned this. The cut is sweet when you do it! The XD having a four point deck makes it real simple to do.
