I moved over to a Sony A7S3, and got the 12-24mm f2.8 lens that all the reviewers say is "the best lens you'll never own". Because I'm a moron. The body, two lenses, cage and top handle? Yeah I could have bought 4 Onewheel GTs with that money. People are weird. Myself especially.
@@LBS-33-33 depends how strong and how the board behaves with that extra torque. Im sure the pros can work around it if they can go 30mph on XRs. We shall see when the board is out
@@LBS-33-33 it probably only pushback because of his rider profile, also idk if you noticed a lot of the pro riders are skinny as hell lol not a lot of weight on those XRs
$2200 is still cheaper, and oftentimes more available than therapy. 9 months and over 1200 miles on my Pint has definitely helped with my combat PTSD and depression. I would love to eventually see a compilation of stories regarding these types of vehicles and mental health. I will gladly volunteer my story. :-)
Hi Laser, don't apologize for the length of this vid, I could have watched another hour of this great GT footage. I'm totally stoked to get mine and I sold my XR and bought a Pint X to hold me over until the GT arrives. Had to go all next-gen, lol.
I feel like I'm 10 years old again waiting on Christmas to get my first Nintendo 64!! Future motion gets an unfair amount of hate, people forget its a business first and foremost, but I've benefited in so many ways from my xr. From just relieving stress to smile inducing rides. I CAN'T WAIT!!
Please, either dial the pushback down to XR level or have it hit at a higher speed than 19.5! A lot of riders want to be able to comfortably ride at 20+ and it's going to be a huge bummer captaining at 19.5. I get the safety factor, but the target audience for this board are serious riders and a stronger than XR pushback at 19.5 is going to turn a lot of us off and back to our XRs.
I would love to see the ride stats from that. Loved seeing it crush the hills early on and blaze by the bikes toward the end. About the only thing we didn't really see showcased was carving at speed (15+ mph). Regardless, I'm really looking forward to the arrival of mine. Also, psst! Thanks, yea it carves like a dream. Adam's journey was more off-road focused but on road it carves incredibly well with the new tire profile and front and back concave + more power. You really feel locked in.
The pushback visible at 8:30 does look like a good balance between XR and Pint levels. I would hope that instead of a 50/50 its more of a 70/30 in terms of preserving the XR ride feel thousands of us have come to love. I think its understandable that a more powerful board would need slightly enhanced user feedback. If what we've just seen stays true on the boards that ship to customers, I would expect experienced riders like myself to be very pleased!
Watched the entire video. Adored all 51 minutes & 20 seconds of it. I'm insanely hyped for this thing 🔥 Thinking my XR will be my lighter "trick" board & my GT will be more like my off-roading long distance beast.
avid snowboarder who went balls to the wall and recently impulse purchased a GT for their first onewheel. Was having a mild crisis of conscious thinking i should have just gotten the pint x and been riding this whole time. this made me feel a lot better about my life choices, thanks!
I've been losing my mind since the launch announcement thinking about the two month wait until my GT ships so this weekend, after giving in to some pretty weak rationalization, I ordered a Pint X! I had been waiting to pull the Onewheel trigger for over a year since I suspected new models were imminent so while I can apparently wait that long, another couple months is just too much! The range of the original Pint is what kept me from buying one while waiting on the next flagship so considering that is no longer an issue, I suspect I just designated the X as the city board and the GT as the trail ripper.
Got my GT on pre-order! I was already stoked but now I literally cannot wait for adventures like this & beyond my current imagination. Well done Onewheel 🤝
It feels like Xmas season for us adults. I can remember the last time I was excited to receive something like this. Mid-January can't come soon enough!

As an XR rider for years this board is very exciting, another step in the right direction. I've never had any issue with the XR pushback, but I'm also not some crazy trick rider. I never take it faster than I can run. But I have wished for more torque, more power, more climbing in little moments here and there, if this solves those moments it will be a dream.
I'm excited for my GT to ship on January 17th! I love all my XRs and I hope onewheel will keep the XR as "the communities board" and allows us to keep innovating the board while future motion can keep making new products. We've made so much progress in the past year to help finetune the XR to each individuals specific ride style!
I wish Future Motion would collaborate with the community businesses. Imagine how amazing this board would be with all the aftermarket parts we know and love planning to put on already installed and under warranty. It's too good of a community to not work together

i just got my XR and have been loving it! Ive been riding it in circles around the house and pickling it up quick! im taking it out on my first one wheel group ride on Tuesday and i cant wait to open it up and see what it can do! The Xr looks fantastic!

In terms of pushback, I would love for GT not to be kicking back at 19.5 when it would be a much more comfortable ride on my XR at that speed not having to fight pushback as much. Having an option to choose between XR style pushback and happy medium between Pint and XR would be ideal and greatly appreciated.

I got my Pint to commute to work. Such a great decision that lead to amazing experiences you can only have on a Onewheel. Can't wait for my GT so I can cruise without feeling like I'm Captain Morgan and won't have to turn around just when the ride starts to get interesting! I'm also looking forward to having a spare so I can go on rides with my wife or one of my kids!
Watched the entire beautiful thing. In the last minute, when you pulled behind the SUV, I was fully expecting expecting a Marty McFly moment where you touched the bumper! GTs gonna be my first OneWheel and I cannot wait!
I'm loving my GT thus far. Every ride I go on I get more and more comfortable either it. Fastest I've gone without having to slow down is 18mph. I love my board I use the slick tire. Definitely gonna get the treaded eventually. But for now I'm digging this!! Soon to travel it and add stickers to my case haha
Now that they have these different model lines, I really hope they open the XR line up for modularity. I want to be able to buy parts and modify them or buy different rails or tires and not have to worry about warranty and things like that.
Also if we could get a actual water resistance rating done to go with the statements that the boards are water resistant that would be the professional and logical thing to do I would think

A rating would tell you how much it could handle, if it could be submerged or not, what types of water sprays/splashes it can take, etc, right now we have nothing more than a vague statement of water resistance. A rating would let people ride with confidence in knowing exactly what water resistance the board has.
Aussies want this asap but we need local service and maintenance options. It's too expensive and time consuming to send the board to the USA just for a tyre change. Please let international dealers perform basic service and maintenance like tyre changes.

What post-purchase support will you guys offer for the GT? If I need a new tire or a new battery will you have services that I can pay to get these items replaced.
They will replace your tire for you but you are required to pay shipping both ways and for the tire and labor. Will come to 3-400 for a tire change. They can replace any component but the price will not be cheap. A new battery will run 5-700
Yup, GT comes with a year-long warranty so anything that needs fixing is covered free of charge in that period. Tires, batteries, all that can be serviced after that as well. Cheers!
@@Onewheel can be serviced changes a bit for us in Europe :-( Even when I forget shipping costs, fighting with customs and how long I will not be able to ride it's so environmentally unresponsible to force us to send the whole board to California for service... Come on, please sell us the parts or at least open the service center in Europe.
It would be nice if you sold spare tires so we don't have to ship out the board and be without our Onewheels for however long it takes. That would be super cool and would go a long way with the community!
I love the way this guy talks, was a fun and relaxing ride. I just picked up a pint X and am loving it! Maybe i see a GT in my future once i start hitting the pints limits more.
Awesome ride and commentary from Lazor, stoked to see anything we can on this beast. Nice to not only hear a bit more on the pushback, but also see it in action for a point of reference, though I'm sure it will continue to be tuned up until it's shipped. I do think Adam makes an interesting point at 13:07 about a stronger pushback being especially valuable to people adjusting to the board and its new limits or just someone wanting a more clear sign. I think I generally agree with this to an extent, but I still am concerned how a stronger pushback, specifically in the angle it takes, will affect higher speed trail riding and racing. Downhill trails are fairly sketchy as is due to the limited clearance between the tail and the ground on steeper grades. When you toss in a steep pushback angle in addition to racers who are going to push the board's limits in order to win (most of which are experienced enough to ride that line on their own without the need for pushback), the pushback itself becomes much more of a hazard than anything else as you become extremely susceptible to tail dragging and losing control. I understand it's a situation where you can't necessarily make everyone happy, but the way I see it, the Pint X is already geared to a more general audience and implements a safe and noticeable pushback effectively for those looking for that. If you're looking to advance the board sport in terms of racing, having at least the option for pushback with a less aggressive angle like the XR I think is pretty crucial. Maybe even being limited through a setting with proper warnings that has to be explicitly toggled. Hell, I wouldn't even mind if doing so voided the warranty. Otherwise, I suspect many will find themselves preferring and sticking with XR for downhill racing purely for high-speed tail clearance alone. With the growing emphasis you guys have been putting into ORL and how this board plays into that, I hope the team will continue to keep these factors in mind.

I've experimented endlessly with custom on XR but nothing feels quite as nice and predictable to me as Mission, especially for high-speed racing, and most high-level racers I know agree. Something about it that can't be replicated in Custom. But no telling what the GT shapings have in store, can't wait to test em out 🤙

Hey, what was the top speed achieved during this run? I think that’s important to note for those of us who think pushback will limit those of us who really want to push the board to its full capabilities. Bodhi hit 30mph at RFTR last year and everyone is concerned that won’t be possible with the increased pushback implementation

Picked up the GT myself on release, never owned or rode a onewheel before, but did a TON of research before purchase, and this video only makes me grin even more ear to ear. So glad. Can't wait for it it arrive! Thanks for the video, this really helped me understand what to practically expect from the machine. It's a wet environment a lot of the time where I live, so seeing the mud parts and the treaded tire was super helpful. I made the right choice! Might pick up PintX eventually too, once I get riding.
Thanks so much for this video, it's exactly what we all have been wanting to see! Regarding treaded tire, do you still prefer it to slick even on concrete? Will personally be riding mainly on cement but want the added traction and ability to go off-road with more confidence. Based on your feedback, seems like treaded might be best of both worlds...
Looks sick long time boarder been on a board from snow to surf to skate since I was a child and still love boarding of ANY kind. I’m 43 and fat now but still board haha 245lbs I feel Ike I need to lose 45lbs before I buy one. I hate that I gained 45lbs in the last 2 years I blame it on covid and stress but that’s a convenient excuse really. Haha I dislike the marketing videos but I think I would love this board. There’s a youngster at my daughters high school that rides one of these boards everyday and wears the COOLEST retro Evel Knievel helmet! I laugh EVERY time I see this kid but not laughing at him, he just makes me happy and smile from ear to ear.
