Through the First Person program, Holocaust survivors have the opportunity to share their remarkable personal stories of hope, tragedy, and survival with thousands of visitors at the Museum. This program was recorded on June 20, 2019. It features Rita Rubinstein, who was born in Văscăuti, Romania, on December 12, 1936. In August 1941, Romanian authorities deported her and her family to Transnistria, where they were placed in the Shargorod ghetto. They were liberated by Soviet forces in early 1944.
