8:17 - Unfortunately for Ace Combat here, it does not appear they mapped it correctly from the options menu nor did the calibration therein as well. 🤷‍♂️ For Ace Combats 2 & 3, the menu screen for the controller setup options speak volumes while showing the HOTAS mapping options (no pedals needed but there is an add-on pedal option). IIRC, at least for Ace Combat 3, HOTAS's left stick is throttle and rudder whereas the right stick is pitch and roll. If you select ~easy/arcade style controls, one analog stick in AC3 affords infinite hemispherical looking instead of the HOTAS config.'s 90-degree hemispherical looking via the top-hat thumb switch on the right jotstick.

In addition to the Sony [concave thumbstick] controller, there are also at least a couple third-party off-brand controllers that emulate the analog joystick controller with a third available setting after digital and analog mode via a slide switch.

Popple you cant play it with the Analog Joystick you can play it with the Dual Shock controller.

It works great with Ace Combats 2 & 3 and I'd say especially for those missions were tight controls are required for flying through canyons and fjords, it appears necessary.

It's not a new one just a remaster of the first three.

basically the same NEW sometimes =REMASTERED
