I went through this with a 1966 Jeepster Commando and it's still playing with my mind, but it's road worthy and thanks to the one above It is happy on the road again, neat gig, Dimmer Switch....

Watching you refurbish Lockjaw is bring back so many memories back when iI was 17 in high school rebuilding my '74 C20 I bought out of the wrecking yard for $200 took over 2 years and visiting multiple wrecking yards to put Greybaby back together...still as of today I have not found a tougher truck than her so many laughed at me thinking I couldn't ever get her road worthy again.👍😀🇺🇲

Man I love these videos grab a bed a few doors hood and a few fenders and you're in business I had an 84-box Silverado and I loved that truck I should have kept it but I have a 08 Chevy Rado now and wouldn't part with it for the world Chevy has the best trucks rolling and its obvious from this video keep the videos coming fix the old ones because they'll start when a late model won't

I think it’s a very good idea that you take the truck as a project truck and just take it for the shop truck every time you need to get some parts instead of taking dude that spend 10 miles a gallon lol you can take the Chevy truck and put a logo on it and everybody I know that that is your shop truck Chevy you have a awesome one in the video was very interesting and thanks. don't get the M12 compressor, get the M18 one. it's much faster and if I recall you have some other M18 tools.

Chad, I can watch you battle wasp nests all day long! I feel your pain. I knew you were going to have one below that tarp when you pulled her off. I think carb cleaner works better than the commercial wasp sprays. I wonder which one is more economical? I will have to do some research.

I had a 76 CMC 1500, and had multiple problems in the dash. After taking it apart, I replaced all the instrument panel lights, and the turn signal indicator light, with diodes (that are available on the internet). It made a substantial improvement. Not much fun working under that dash, is it.

Shop is enormous and looking great. Love that you didn't even flinch when lockjaw immediately puked oil all over the brand new concrete. Just left it there to start seasoning the floor. 😅

I wonder if some big industrial ceiling fans would help keep the shop cooler , and those dimmer switches on the floor will mess with the lights not working like they suppose to do !!

Get the M18 inflator. You’ll be happy you did. The 12 volt one works ok. The M18 a lot better.

Soapy water, heavy on the soap works extremely well for killing bee's. Cheaper than carb cleaner. Love your videos Keep on keeping on. Have a wonderful day.

Love these old square bodies, I have a 1084 Silverado that I’m currently working on and it too has a LOT of rust but it’s still a lot of fun to work on 😁😁👍👍

Good video. Your grounds for your back tail lights are behind them. I got a ticket years ago for no tail lights turned out that the ground broke behind the taillights. Fixed it with a new ground and never had a problem with them.

Advice on keeping wasps away.. hang blowed out small brown paper bags.. they’re territorial .. they think it’s another nest. Anyway it worked for me when I lived in the woods in Missouri ..

Some RU-vid channels seem to lose a little stream after they have a nice new big shop built. But there's something about taking a building apart and rebuilding in to you own shop and enjoying it. Really like your video's and the realistic work you put I to them.

You got to put that new dimmer switch in it's important to the whole dash ask me I know, good ground a need, everywhere, everywhere, trust me I know.....

Some headlight switch would also turn on your inside dome light. Maybe that's the extra wires. Just a thought.

Anybody that watched the episodes on this truck should have known. That truck feels sentimental. It always had to be the first worked on in the shop....

Now that you have a couple trucks in the shop you can see how much room you have, you have plenty of space, really happy for you, well deserved for sure, keep the videos coming Chad!

That regular cab dually is pretty cool. As far as the turn signals wouldn't the break light switch have to talk to the turn signal switch in order to function properly since they are controlling the same bulbs.

That yellow wire might be for the dome light in the headlight switch, turn it to the left in any position, you should have power. Try to find the wires coming down the left windshield post. They should lead up to the dome light. Hope this helps.

Had lots of "negative" experience with those "Quadrajunk" carburestors many years ago on a SS 396 Chevelle. They have/had a rather nasty "routine" problem with some plugs that are installed in the bottom of the bowls of that device. Over time, those plugs begin to leak fuel directly into the manifold. Not so bad while the engine is running but result in EXACTLY the problem you just mentioned with this one. Turn it off and go to start it back up 10 minutes later and it's all flooded with all that leaking fuel. The "fix" was supposed to be "epoxy" those plugs into the base of the Carb. Epoxy was a rather new thing back then so I just went the Holley route. That didn't turn out a whole lot better. ;o( Mr. Hevyshevy really likes them. He knows all about fixing all the things to make them work as they should. ?????????

One or two of those wires has to feed your dimmer switch and receive power from it too.

I insulated my shop and it made a ton of difference summer and winter, I used foam insulation.

You're right, that Kano AeroKroil is NOT cheap, but you really only need a little TINY bit of that stuff and it works wonders! edit: if you didn't know, and I'm sure you do, the blower motor just needs as cheap blower motor resistor for the fan, they're usually 10 dollars and you'll get all your speeds back for the heater fan.

Also if that motor was swapped at some time and it's a newer motor and has that egr valve on the intake that will definitely do what your issue is. If it's stuck
