@@DecrepitBungalow From my understanding, Husky asked for him to come back as a fill in rider for Zach. Deano had sponsors of his own and wanted to ensure they were taken care of. Husky allowed him to operate under his own banner next to their truck but provided bikes and support to him. That was my reference to the opportunity because of his commitments and how Husky thought enough of him to still provide support.
@@richwicklund9001 ah thanks, I was wondering about the Zac situation. Would be cool if the Husky team transported his bike for him and let him operate out of their rig, at least until Zac is back.
@@DecrepitBungalowI think right now they are providing the bike for him! Bringing it over to the sprinter and then taking it back during the week, breaking it down, and prepping it for next weekend. His guys put on his bars, suspension, seat, and set the ride height. Neat deal actually. Basically a factory bike but operating out of a privateer stable.

Was a great ride, was smiling the whole time considering how many factory machines were behind you. I don't imagine you will be a privateer long with more rides like that and if some factory riders get shuffled back again. Once again congratulations. Happy for you. Stay healthy.

I thought I was going to have a heart attack (I am 52, so...) when I watched this race! I NEVER “follow”, cheer or get in any way personally invested in individual riders anymore, at least not since the Hannah, Bailey, O’Mara, Barnett, et al days; but this year I have had ONE rider who I love to watch ride. Dean Wilson, of course. So, I’ve been watching all your pre-season videos and was even working up some concern (and not a little anger) that you weren’t signed to a major team.... and then you go out at Anaheim and do THIS!! Like I said, thought I was going to have a hearty attack! Brilliant! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! American pro-MX might just be worth watching this year.

I hope this is truly an indication of what in store for Deano for 2017. It broke my heart to see him lose the lead, but then I was gutted when he got knocked off of the podium. All in all STILL a great, GREAT weekend. Congratulations.

Back in the late 80's when I raced my team always told me to stay low. They knew I loved to go big on jumps. I loved the triples and huge airs, the crowd also. Bet they tell you the same thing, stay low to win and keep the time down.
I love the end where Dean's dad is drinking a Coors Light. If that doesnt have the typical moto dad vibe all over it then I dont know what does. On another note great ride bud was hoping you were going to pull it out in the end.
