This performance was my first listen of Diana as well. A pro vocal coach had posted a short about it, and I felt curious. There was a slight hint at what I was about to hear, but nothing could’ve prepared me for that incredible voice. Her utterly rich tone floored me, and I became a major fan very quickly. And I daresay that will not change.

Greetings from Scotland! Nice pronunciation! This is the normal effect that Diana has on first time listeners! She has the power to take away speech and reality as we know it! In all my years (I'm 70) I have never heard a female voice like this! I have followed her career fr nearly 8 years now and she surprised me continually as her vocal abilities became ever stronger and more flexible. She NEVER stops experimenting and improving. Diana is 20yo now, soon to be 21yo, but I've been following her career since she was around 13yo. Diana is a natural *Dramatic Contralto* so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she has increased her range even more since this. She also naturally sings with *polyphonic overtones* so it sounds like many voices at the same time! Any song, any genre, in any language, Diana can sing it and improve it! You need a little back story to understand what helped "create" this unique phenomenon:- Diana's awful birthmother had multiple miscarriages, but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her! She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) a passing relative found her in her home with a broken collarbone and several other injuries. She went for the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage! This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. To avoid copyright blocks in Russia you may want to cover the Diana's performance video with some kind of filter (You may find some examples from other reactions to her on RU-vid) and place some pauses in between and also include Diana Ankudinova's name and last name written in Russian cryllic alphhabet in your video title or description part to bring in more people to your channel. Diana's audience is very loyal and supportive to honest reactioners. For you & others who may not not know Diana's story: abused & abandoned as a child, didn't speak, was in a Russian orphanage for a time, her adoptive Mum provided voice & singing lessons as therapy, started singing in public at about age 6.....Diana is a a natural Contralto ( the lowest female vocal range ) and polyphonic ( able to sing multiple tones or notes simultaneously ), sings in many languages.......she is amazing and unique ...........
