First Reaction to DPR IAN - So I Danced, He's my type of crazy! 

DPR Ian, aka Christian Yu, is a Korean-Australian singer. He's the founder of the Dream Perfect Regime. DPR is not a boyband; they are a collective group of musicians and directors who make their own content. There's DPR Live, DPR Cream, and DPR Rem. Ian used to work behind the scenes as a director, producer, and chief editor at DPR. Ian and Rem shoot and make MVs for other artists to help fund all of their projects. That doll in the end reference is from his "SERAPH | 1 SHOT | MOOD | RIBBON | OFFICIAL MIITO MOVIE (PART I)" MV. His fan gave it to him during his tour. So lucky 🥺

There's a whole lore about this but it's basically all based from his BPAD & D.I.D :D Also he's not just a singer. He's also the director, editor and producer of his own videos! Though recently he got more people involved but still this man knows his STUFF. Looking forward to more DPR reactions in the future!

ian directs his own videos - he’s soo talented. all his songs and mvs are personal for him, cause they all represent his mental health. he has bipolar disorder and recently revealed in a live that he has been dealing with dissociative identity disorder many years of his life. the way he shows that through his creativity in the videos is so impressive. the colorful guy in the music video is called Mr. Insanity and he represents Ian’s manic high state and the darker guy is called Mito and he represents his manic low state. you actually meet him a lot in Ian’s earlier music videos. hope you react to more of his music. :D

Okay, something you should know to understand his music videos and the lore is that Dpr Ian (christian) has bipolar disorder. He uses his music and music videos to express himself. Ian has basically created 2 character so far: - MITO: (The one in all black. You will also see him in mvs like "So Beautiful", "No Blueberries", "Nerves" and "SERAPH | 1 SHOT | MOOD | RIBBON | OFFICIAL MIITO MOVIE) He represents his lows, his dark moments and all his dark memories. You can recognize him by how dark and mysterious he is (he also doesn't have one eye). As dark as MITO is Christian describes him as the protector of his mind. MITO basically tries to protect Christian from his bad memories and from harming himself - Mr. Insanity: This character is introduced in his album "Moodswings into Order" but we only see him for the first time in his music video, "Peanut Butter and Tears" and then you see more of him in "So I danced" Mr. Insanity basically represents Christian's manic highs. You will recognize him very easily because he's very colorful and bright. He basically displays Christians impulsive decisions, he's very unapologetic of his actions and doesn't think about how it will affect Ian. This is also why Ian himself said that although MITO is a lot darker and looks a lot more scary, Mr. Insanity is actually a lot more dangerous. That's why in "So I danced" Mr. Insanity and MITO are "fighting", cuz MITO wants to protect Ian from Mr. Insanity and his actions. Oh and Dpr Ian's first two albums ( "Moodswings in This Order" and "Moodswings into Order" ) focus on MITO and the new album ( "Dear Insanity" ) that is dropping in October 6th is about Mr. Insanity

Every DPR IAN's music videos has its own uniqueness & creativity. It started from "So Beautiful" music video, there you will see the first appearance of MITO. Mr.Insanity is like a god in those music videos & MITO is like an opposite image of Mr.Insanity. The place IAN in the music video is called "The Other Side".

Ian is a very creative and interesting artist and he can make everything: music video direction and production, songs composition and production, dance, act, sing and play bass! He is so talented!!
