A song I think you’ll like is “daisy pusher” by Julie, which is another band that I’d fit in the same category as fleshwater. Also, very good review

Everyone compares them to Deftones and hum and shoegaze bands but like They're emo, like post hardcore mall emo They're undeniably emo, there's even some brief pop punk influence very good, very mature, developed emo but like, it feels like people are in denial as if mall emo bands can't be very very good Thank you for bringing up the post hardcore thing Maybe just the younger kids haven't been exposed to as much emo, but it's like kids think reverb on guitar means shoegaze

im 14, i listen to some post hardcore and emo and i definitely hear the emo/post hardcore influence for im not here to be loved. i feel like if you were to compare a shoegaze song by like slowdive/whirr there would also be some similarities. i see it in both pov’s, i also dont really listen to shoegaze. but i like how you hear post hardcore more
