This song was written by their old drummer, The Rev (passed away December 2009) because the band asked him to make something absolutely nuts for the album they were working on. In turn, he came up with a song where a guy kills his girlfriend for denying his marriage proposal because he is obsessed with her, then she comes back from the dead to kill him. In hell he begs for forgiveness and she gives it to him and then they live happily ever after as a married zombie couple. The song itself, although is purely meant to tell a wicked story, is basically a love song. A really dark love song.
As i recall it was originally going to be a full Halloween album. But the idea for the Halloween album was scrapped. But they liked this songs unique sound so much that they put it onto a regular album instead of scrapping it.
@@euhakawcr7435 In "the making of" video, they say that after writing one of their other songs they wanted jimmy to write something much more crazy. And i believe the halloween-ish album was actually supposed to be Nightmare because it was originally supposed to be a concept album before the tragedy that changed it into what it is now. Still a great album tho!
@@kingjojo7776 it was the second one I heard after nightmare and it turned me away from them at first but then I came back to it and ended up LOVING it
Bruh, who the hell told him to do a little piece of heaven first???? Dude you gotta ease into A7X like a baby on milk lol you went straight for the steak.
but i think anyone should understand it's a comedy thing. I mean from the beginning with the " but bye bye " line, everything is made to hale you laugh, it's also very cartoon it's not like it's scary
@@rengarrengar9417 It would be a lot more funnier if it toned down the gore, but it wasn't a clever animation. It only picked up when the zombie couple were taking pictures together, but other than that I didn't find any part of it to be light hearted.
@@Fiztoo77 yea first song I heard was almost easy because it was on rockband I think. Fell in love instantly but this song isn't a good representation of what the band is. Music video is trash, song is over the top trash
A little piece of heaven is like Bohemian Rhapsody . It’s unique masterpiece of art and it takes time to be totally appreciated or understood. I’m sure if he listens to it a couple of times and starts noticing the musicality in depth and the writing of the song. He will absolutely start adoring and loving the song just like all the fans of A7x do.
Lol wtf. Love the fanboys who can't deal with someone disliking the song so they start scraping up excuses like "ooh it grows on you ooh you should of listened to something else first"
@@gamesmaster1060 I like the song but to call it a unique masterpiece like bohemian rhapsody which is probably like one of the most goated songs is fucking wild
Nah sorry, this song is crap and for you to compare it in likeness to Bohemian Rhapsody shows how stupid you are. It is nothing close to being a masterpiece. The vocals suck, the song itself is lackluster at best and memelike. Nothing inspirational or great about it. Boy people have low standards these days.
This was the first song of their's I heard back in 2010 or 2011. However, I didn't watch the music video until later, only the audio. Went back listened to their old stuff and have kept up with them since. But yeah, not ready for the music video fs.
"OMG this is satanic" no it's not, it's a horror story, a dark comedy (when does he ever say Satan or Demons) it's an exaggerated love story. I mean killing is talked about in all genres of music not just metal. I mean Eminem wrote a song about killing Kim (actually multiple). Johnny Cash: "I shot a man in Reno just watch him die." It's just because of the visuals. I can understand being uneasy about the necrophilia though, that is fucked up. But this is actually a musical masterpiece. The brass, and strings, and choir. Love the channel though! Huge fan!
He trashed something he didn't like. Art is wholly subjective. Fuck you for saying fuck him. If this had been my first exposure to a7x, I'd have trashed it, too.
"Why this look so dark?" *Morgan Freeman voice* *he was asking a question to which he would have the answer very soon* I love seeing people's reaction to this song 😂
Omg i love it 7:00 - 7:15 , he actually shuts his eyes and headbangs just before everyone in the church gets slaughtered, guess he wasnt prepared for what he saw when he opened his eyes🤣. Best facial expression ever.
No idea why people obsess with getting reactions to this.. unless you actually understand the back story as to how and why it was written and take it as that, people react negatively to it and judge the band by the 1 song!
When yu see his face just watching skuleton musician while saying it's dark, but yu know it's not even started xD We can critic the clip, but the song is a really great melody
This song is a piece of art as dark as it is. Amazingly well put together composition transitions and note sequence. The story is morbid yes but the band is pure genius.
You should definitely listen to So Far Away by Avenged Sevenfold. It’s dedicated to their old drummer who passed away way too young. Utterly emotional mate
Adam Boyle actually the Rev did not write So Far Away. Syn wrote it after the Revs passing. Fiction is the last song Jimmy wrote and sang before he passed.
@@fouronetwo813 No, I am not blaming anyone, I am just commenting on the fact that I did not like this reaction and I believe that comments are open to the opinions of others regardless of their thinking
I personally love the song as much as any song avenged sevenfold. I just find it funny how this guy reacts 😂 even though now A7F isn’t popular anymore still love them
In a musical standpoint, it was amazingly composed with the help of two orchestra composers and the bands drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. The dude began with a simple piano...then finished off with the ending result. RIP THE REV.
He didn't start with this song. This is the 3rd Avenged song I've watched him react to and I agree with his conclusion. He liked the 2 before this. I tune-in to all of his rock/metal reactions and I've at least browsed through his other videos. You and many others, apparently, do not know his channel.
@@victoraec9026 No worries, man. Sorry, if the tone of my message came off as harsh. I'd already read several comments before I posted on your comment.
The Croissant squad lol hail to the king ain’t enough to get ‘eased in.’ Takes much more listening time than that, from my own perspective of course. I’ve been a A7x fan for as long as I can remember, but for someone who don’t know rock and how dark it can be sometimes, this definitely ain’t a song to recommend 😂😂
Im late as hell but the drummer was a huge fan of Tim Burton & Nightmare Before Christmas things of that nature so he wrote this song in homage to him. It's about a man who was so scared that she would say no that he killed her before she had the chance to even get asked the question. He misbehaves with the corpse & she comes back for revenge now he feels bad so he vows to make it up to her & they decide to have a zombie wedding. The song is not supposed to be taken literally it's more so a musical masterpiece depiction of something Tim Burton would create. I actually heard Anthony Vincent's 33 style cover of this song first & fell in love with the beauty in the storytelling of this song. I recommend reacting to A little Piece of Heaven in 33 Styles. It's beautiful & in my opinion tells the story better emotion wise. I like the original song as well just hate the video. Great reaction
Watching the lyrics push you away but then the musicianship and melody pull you in making you move was hilarious 😂 This is 100% shock value metal at its finest.
I cannot believe that I missed this video on his channel. When I saw the title I couldn't help but laugh at this situation. Can't believe you guys did this to him.
Sad that you trashed it but at the same time i think it was too early in your metal react journey to react to this. Its not meant too take literal and go do the things the video shows. And you dont know avenged sevenfold well at all yet so i can see why you feel the way you do. Overall i think you just didnt fully understand the musical genius in this. Plz return to Avenged Sevenfold tho because they are🔥🔥🔥 love that your doing more rock and metal reacts💯
I completely agree This song is just a huge metaphor where every single thing means something Everything started as a couple that were in love but when he proposed she said no Then when he killed her he kept her body because he clearly still was in love with her and I also think that the heart represents the love Then when she comes back after she kills him she also keeps his heart and I think that it means the same Now that they're both dead they try to get along and they eventually get married And now the most interesting part for me.. when they "start the killing" I think that they're trying to help other couples because in their case what helped their relationship was death So in my opinion this song is just a love song but in a really twisted way so you actually have to think about the meaning of everything to really get the beauty of this masterpiece Or maybe they were just on crack when they wrote the song :v
Just EPIC yeah, this is my second or third time ever really hearing this song now and I do actually really like the vocals and the song overall but I think the music video is just weird. Which could be because I just wasn’t expecting it at all Idrk
Tbh my best friend loves avenged sevenfold and I've grown to love to hate on em just to be a dick lmao even though they're ight hahaha so cus of my pride... They're trash 🤣
That would be great, I believe that Killswitch is a band that he would end up enjoying a lot, same for Being As An Ocean, their older stuff is incredible (Waiting For Morning To Come was great as well)
The song is about a love that you thought was going to last. It didnt work out the first time so you tried again and again and it just ended up being a shallow ghost of what could of been. Or in this case your heart is gone and your both trying to make it work as "living dead". Its totally symbolic.
The video basically means when your trapped in love"a little piece of heaven" it can make you do terrible things. Yes the video was a bit much but you gotta look past all the darkness. Ive been listening to avenged for a while now .
If you want a more up to date story-driven Avenged Sevenfold song with less shock factor, you want Avenged Sevenfold - THE STAGE, its a damn masterpiece. From a metal fan to someone discovering it, i hope this finds you :)
I didn’t even get to read the title, I saw the thumbnail and I was like “I doubt they recommended this” 😩😩💀💀 I’m sorry you had to see this before you were ready 😂😂
Bro your mic is so good! I love your videos and reactions, but I swear every time I’m watching one of your videos and you move your arms on your desk I think someone is knocking on my door🤣😂
Man I love your reactions, but I knew you werent ready for this before we even got into it. The video turned you off from the music well before it got a chance my man. Definitely check some more A7X though, I would suggest something like Coming Home or Unbound
haven’t even watched the video but it’s gonna be fire. Love the idea of switching genres, makes a great reaction channel. Next reaction you should do dance with the devil by immortal technique, pleaseeee
you're taking the video a little to serious, the song is symbolic for hard relation ships and a message that love always prevails the lyrics and video try to make it the most extreme form though. but the message is supposed to be beautiful. you should definitely try a different song by them though like beast and the harlot or bat country
@@epiccheeseman42069 just don't pay attention to the lyrics. There's a story behind this song, and they achieved what they wanted to achieve in writing it - that's all.
This song is written like an Edgar Allan Poe story. It’s not to be like “Fuck yeah, necrophilia is cool!” It’s more like a supernatural revenge story, written intentionally as a piece of fiction. It’s a horror movie in song.
This song is just a masterpiece. Once you start digging deeper (and go see their own breakdown of it!), it just opens up. It's a Bohemian Rhapsody of modern age.
Avenged is my favorite band, i say trash too for the same reason you do. But you would be impressed by so many song from them. Seize the day Beast and the harlot Afterlife So Far away and many mores...
A7X has been my favorite band for so long. This song is one of the most creative and musically well written there is. While the ideas and story of the song are pretty dark it truly is a masterpiece in my opinion. Def not their best song but a classic imo.
@@tylerbarrett5 this is not exactly early Avenged Sevenfold. This is off of their fourth album. They've made eight albums. Kinda middle of the road if you ask me.
Man who recommended this for him. He doesn't know this song is like a sick joke not to be taken seriously. Like a slasher film. Glad you guys let him know later on.
