For this First Ride we take a look at the 2018 Kawasaki KX450F. Although unchanged for 2018 Kawasaki returns with loads of adjustability and ease of rider cock pit. We are hoping to see some more changes in the future for Kawasaki but until then we are excited to see where this ranks in our 450 Shoot Out later in the year.

I'm getting one of these. I like when the "newer" year bikes come out because they drop the price on the current year bike. They sell these for around $5,500 brand new now and it's well worth it.

Casey Lee Of course. It's heaver no electric starter and it's green. What's to like. Just kidding. They do favor ktm now. But they didn't a few years back. I think once it gets an electric starter and loses 10 pounds it might get better reviews. Just saying.

nothing wrong with kawi or suzuki though, most people choose yamaha or ktm/husquavarna they don't realise there's other bikes to choose from

I got a 2017 with about 15 hrs. on it for 4300, I love it. I got a No Toil Super Flow air filter, 51 tooth rear sprocket and it's as fast as I need it to be, more horsepower will just wear you out sooner, 56 hp good enough.

I will admit those parts do wear fast but let's be honest that't how Kawasaki keeps their prices low. You get a really good bike for 8-9 OTD retail. Everything else is well in the 10k range now so you can't really knock it. Truth be told I love Yamaha but they are past 10k MSRP so I went green.

Why? It's the same bike as last year. just go check out all the reviews of the 2017 and the 2016. it hasn't changed.

fox13z400 well, from what they said from the review from the 2017, the 2017 had so motor updates to make more power, I just want to know if they made more changes to the motor, and I want to know what they think about the 2018

I thought that maybe I should get this for my 17th or 18th birthday because i thought that motorbikes were all "fat" in a sense and that dirt bikes were better because the first motorcycle I looked at was like £10000 and I was like no and I wanted something that was road legal and then I discovered the ktm duke 390, Let's just say my life got a whole lot easier

KTMs are overrated and If cant kickstart a dirtbike then you shouldnt be riding one in the first place

Try kickstarting a bike in mid summer when its 90 out with 80% humidity. It's not about "not kicking a bike" its easier to just hit a button and go, then it is to kick a bike when it's hot as hell and you've been riding for a few hours.

Everybody is bitching about the music, and I don't get why? It's not bad, and you can still hear the bike just fine, wtf is everyones deal? If you only want to hear the bike then go watch a different video, quit complaining.

It's feedback. If the general consensus is people don't like it, then perhaps they can take it as constructive criticism and make their videos with more balanced audio in future.
