First Ride on the 2021 Gas Gas MC250F with Motocross Action. We were invited to the 2021 model launch at Glen Helen Raceway from Gas Gas. The new Gas Gas MC250F features a Husqvarna swing arm, KTM subframe, suspension tuned to Gas Gas, no map switch, cast triple clamps, silver wheels, Maxxis tires, and silver handlebars instead of black. Check out all the details and what our assistant editor Josh Mosiman thought of the bike on day 1. This was a rather smooth track for us to gather all the intel for a final verdict but we are just getting started. We plan on putting a lot of seat time on the MC250F and comparing it to the KTM/Husqvarna models very soon. We were able to come up with initial settings that you might find interesting!

Bike prices these days are crazy $8499 for a 250 yet it gets features cut for price "savings". In 5 years we'll be at 10k.

Recently picked up the mc125 was expecting to leave dealer with bike around 7,800 ended up paying $8,500 out the door was bummed but love the bike!

Actually pretty hyped for this bike. Seems like a fine middle ground between husky and ktm, for the average weekend warrior at least. And the price point is a bit better

I'm hoping for a GasGas 350 next year. MXA, I remember when you guys would also do a comparison cos between brands of the most replaced/work parts (pistons, brake pads, clutch plates, etc). I would love to see that again. Initial cost of a bike is only one aspect of owning one right. Also, would replacements parts always vary due to the monetary exchange rate (ktm, husky, gasgas)? I was going to buy the gas gas 500 but I didn't know anything about who made it it was the first one they ever made and if the transmission would hold up I knew nothing about this bike so I bought the Honda CRF 450 2022 but now I know gas gas is made by KTM I might have bought it but I am a long time Honda Rider racer

I am tired of your test complaining about the soft tracks. 50 / 50 of tracks are soft or hard. That's means all us guys that ride soft the bike is great. Fox raceway and California are the only hard dirt tracks. Unfortunately you cannot state track conditions as they are all different. Fix your test and do it on three different tracks when you test a bike. Always the same saying from you guys. Get it together, and cut and edit three tracks.

Its an iconic European name dude. Learn some history. Dirt bikes started in Europe and USA. Japan just copied an undercut. I dont buy anything asian! *European or USA only in my garage & driveway. Pay a bit more get superior engineering!*

Great question @Cayden Thompson! For $1000 less than KTM/HUSQ but nearly all the same crucial equipment (ie brakes, suspension, engine)??? I’d love to make this my new bike. Yes please!!
