In this video Eva and I go for the first motorcycle ride of the season. It’s a 3 day/3 night riding and camping motorcycle adventure in Southern Arizona. My bike is a BMW R1200 GS and Eva is riding a brand new Honda Africa Twin - a special bike build for Overland Expo.

Southern Arizona is in my opinion a surprisingly beautiful area of our country. When the cactus are in bloom, the area has a magical quality. I visited Tucson and Central to South Eastern Arizona years ago when my youngest son was in grade school. My son and I flew into Phoenix and we spent four days and traveled to see the area. We also visited the Grand Canyon, and that region, which being in a higher elevation has it's own beauty. What was a surprising treat to me was the forested areas. I think maybe a lot of us older people got the impression from old TV westerns that Arizona is a dry wasteland. Some is, but some is anything but that. And there's a lot of wildlife there. My older brother lives outside of Phoenix and has spoken of the outdoors there in the winter and spring. It's a great time to travel and camp there. I look forward to doing mt own ADV bike travel there. Thanks Sterling your videos bring memories, and the urge to go back soon. Shout out to Eva, BTW. How many girls would have the adventurous spirit of Eva ? So Cool ! A lovely lady..

Sterling for a guy stuck in the Pacific North West with every mountain pass choked with snow this was just the type of film to inspire & remind you spring brings summer and clear roads. So we can have our own adventures or finally get our $hit together and move south!! Fantastic movie and as always you make it look ridiculously easy. Thanks for all the effort you put into this!! What I love about your videography is how you can focus on certain small and otherwise meaningless actions or objects, and use those aspects to create a certain immersive feel and realism of being there. That ability of yours shines through in all of your videos, and this one was no exception. No doubt a style and skill in your craft that has taken decades to develop and refine. Keep rockin it dude!

No, it adds to my trip. I find it gives me a higher purpose and something else to do on the trip ... but Ive been filming for a long time so I am not trying to learn how to do that on these trips.

Sterling; I've watched quite a few of your films, but this one is the best I've ever seen of yours. The cinematography was excellent! I loved the way focused on the action close in, rather than showing a wide scene. This allowed me to imagine that I was there. The limited talking was refreshing. The whloe thing was refreshing. The colors were amazing. YOU WERE IN YOUR SWEET SPOT AND SHOULD DO MORE LIKE THIS. Hope to see you on a BDR!

Great to see how you manage food, all looks good and very healthy. My camping days are over as accommodation here in Thailand is so plentiful, but some of my mates who are a bit more adventurous than me still enjoy it visiting some more remote areas.

I must say I don’t understand motorcycle camping. Wearing so much protective gear which makes you isolated from the air/elements. Makes hiking or other activities very difficult during the trip.

Had something to do. Buy and deliver one medium-size all-synthetic mummy bag. Somebody had the trots and didn't unzip fat enough. I declined the soiled bag as gifted. Saying a gift card for my out of pocket expenses was appropriate.

Your videos are awesome! But I have to know how your flying your drone and some of these shots. Some of these are not autonomous flight modes. Do you have your controller mounted on the handle bar and just with a slight joystick movement have it move forward while you’re driving?

The sound mix on this film is perfection. The layering of sound effects under the primary music track is delicate and nuanced in a way few RU-vidrs can accomplish. Well done, its one of your very best and was effortless to watch. I will use it as a masterclass.

He did a good job. I worked as a sound mix engineer on many music tours and although the gear is different, Premiere Pro has a number of audio tracks that can be manipulated individually. It also helps if you have enough subscribers to get paid to invest in this level of time consuming editing or a staff, I'm a one man army so perfection crosses the line of diminishing returns. @@SterlingNoren like everything from Firebox, happy with my titanium nano, but due to its size, requires a bit too much constant feeding when used as a wood stove, finding i generally use it with an alcahol spirit stove or esbit bith of which it works very well with.... another amazing video, perfect on this cool, soaking wet Carolina day
